We will make budgets, write checks, use debit cards, earn and deposit a paycheck, keep track of transactions in a check register, learn the benefits of savings accounts, learn the cost of loans and interest, and philanthropy. Students will be taught how to write a resume, interviewing skills, and have an actual job interview. They will receive a job offer and work at that job on the day they attend BizTown, a simulated city, where the students will take all they’ve learned and put it into practice.
