But I hit this wall:

1) I didn't dig into the DSC spec to see if those 2:1 an 2.5:1 ratio are fixed or statistical, but it is probably
close enough.

2) This is the big one: When DisplayPort is encapsulated inside TB, the DisplayPort Stuffing and Blanking
bits are REMOVED before sending over the TB cable, and then reinserted back by the receiving TB controller.
This means that DisplayPort data OVER 40 GBps could sent over a 40 GBps Thunderbolt link, but I can't
find an easy way to calculate HOW much savings that efficiency gives TB, so the above tables look WEIRD.
