NOTES:
25
** I use the Synthrotek pot for the size (they are slightly smaller than the Erthenvar ones, so it fits between the panel and PCB better).
26
27
## These are the one's that I use, but any will work. Just make sure they aren't much bigger as there's not that much room to play with.
28
29
Optional 4.99 Ohm Resistor: This resistor likes to pop if there's a short somewhere. I've popped at least 10 so far. They are really sensitive, so
30
if youpower up and nothing happens, chances are you have a short and this resistor is now buttered toast. I would recommend ordering a
31
bunch. 100 will cost you less than $3.
32
33
Polyimide tape is great to have regardless. I use it extensively with the Werkstatt. I tape down wires that are soldered to SMD parts so they
34
don't snap loose from stress. It's also good for making soure specific area's don't short out.
35
36
You'll need to make a MIDI cable. Any 3.5mm TRS (stereo) cable will work. The 2 wires get soldered to the DIN Connector pins 1 & 2. Polarity
37
doesn't matter. The shield wire doesn't get terminated.
