OfficialSpeech and Debate Club (9-12)The mission of the Meridian School Speech and Debate Club is to promote strong communication skills in a competitive environment while fostering positive collaboration, international mindedness, critical thinking, and research skills. The club offers students opportunities to travel to other schools and compete for awards based on their hard work and research.

Students are required to pay a $200 membership fee through My School Bucks (a 4.60% credit processing fee applies) or by check to Meridian World School with “Debate Club” noted on the memo line. Invoices will be sent after the Student Interest Meeting and should be paid by the end of August.

This fee helps cover registration costs and resources for the Texas Forensic Association and National Speech and Debate Association, supports extended coach hours during tournaments, and offsets some judging fees. All fees must be paid by the club’s deadlines to maintain eligibility and participation.
