What are your thoughts, in general, about Kahoot? What do you like or dislike about it? Please explain your response.Do you think using Kahoot instead of traditional lecturing will help you learn and improve your class grade? Please explain your response.
2
I like the instant feedback from it.Yes because I know I have to study before coming in. With a lecture I can get away without studying.
3
I like it because the things the I don't know, I can learn or write down.Yes because it's like a quiz before the quiz.
4
I love kahoot. I am a competitive person so it helps me stay motivated. Yes, I feel like kahoot will help because I am taking charge of my own education by reading and comprehending the question on my own, yet can get an explanation if asked for.
5
I like the competitive aspect.Yes like I said before being put in an atmosphere like that I feel pushed to do better. Maybe that is just the athlete in me.
6
I am very competitive and my phone ALWAYS says "network is slow" so it makes me mad that I miss the same number of questions that people in the top 5 do but I will be in the top 10. I know it's silly!!!!YES! I find myself dosing off in lectures but being interactive really keeps me engaged and learning!!
7
Kahoot is a fun educational game. It challenges you to think quick about information.I think it will improve my grade because it is a funner approach to learning than the traditional lecturing.
8
I like it a lot but some time my game freezes since we are in the bacement causing a delay in able to answer.Yes I feel like I have actually been paying a lot more attention then I normally do.
9
I like kahoot a lot because I actually pay attention in classYes I don't pay attention as well in lecture
10
I like the drive it gives you to come prepared to class.Yes, like i said earlier, its like a mini quiz every class and that personally helps me learn.
11
I think kahoot is awesome! I love the "quiz" it does formyiu and how it gives you incentive to come to class prepared! I'm super competitive so it brings out that side of me lol, even if I don't show it.Yes! Hands on learning is better for me
12
I love it. I like the challenge and competition. It keeps me way more engaged instead of falling asleep.
13
I like it. It is a fun way to see what you know and what you do not know.Yes it will. Like i said before, Kahoot allows us to practice what we have learned in our past readings. Even after every answer, we get told why its right. If people are all over the place on an answer, we still have a deeper break down of the question and what the correct answer is.
14
I like that it is bonus points at the end of the semester. I think it is a great way to review the material. Yes. It is more interactive than lecturing. During a lecture you can zone out but with Kahoot you are engaged the entire time.
15
The kahoot is great. It's much more interactive and engaging than just lecturing. Yes because I'm engaged the entire class.
16
Kahoot is fun and very engaging. The technology is very useful and simple to collect data. Yes. Technology exposes us to real life and different ways of learning rather than learning by pencil
17
I like Kahoot. We take a 8am class, it really helps keep us awake and get us involved. Yes, because its friendly competition to get points towards the end of the year is great.
18
I enjoy it. It gives more hands on opportunity to be involved in class but if someone is naturally a wuiet person, it doesn't force them to be the focus of attention to be involved. Yes, any teacher can do this, as long as they don't rely on this Strickland as their lecturing. Explaining does have to be done and Dr Bray does a good job of this.
19
I like it because it helps to show if you understood what you read. Yes because it is more interactive and you have to focus to do well. There is no time to zone out like in a traditional lecture.
20
I love it. it keeps it fun and excited and motivates me to do the reading and notesit has already helped me learn the actually material and because we all want to be coaches we are competitive and want to beat each other.
21
The only thing I dislike is that I'm such a competitive person and when it comes to knowing you have to beat the other students to the right question first I sometimes hit the wrong button. Otherwise I think it is great and a great way to have fun learning all the material.Yes. Because if we do miss a question she does explain or lecture a little on how it should be or the reason why something is the way it is. So yes its all around helpful and still has the ability to lecture information the students don't understand as well as not have students not paying attention and bored out of their minds through long, drawn out lectures. I think you will see a greater final grade-level average throughout the way Mrs. Bray is dedicated and adapted this course.
22
I like Kahoot, because it makes class more interesting. Also, it helps the students learn more material. Instead of having the teacher talk the whole time, students can learn on their own. Yes, because it makes the students remember more things. The student has the ability to see questions every day that test their knowledge.
23
I like Kahoot, for the most part. It allows students, that work hard, the ability to get extra points. Also, it makes the students more engaged in class, rather than just hearing a teacher lecture. Yes, because it makes me work and study harder. Kahoot allows me to become familiar with future test and quiz questions as well. I believe Kahoot is a great tool to helping me improve my grade.
