Purpose: This 360-degree evaluation tool is designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of a principal's performance in the areas of Catholic Leadership, Educational Leadership, and Managerial Leadership. By gathering feedback from multiple stakeholders, including the pastor, school chaplain, executive school board committee, self-evaluation, and the Catholic Schools Office, this tool will help identify strengths, areas for improvement, and inform goal setting for the upcoming school year.

1. Review the Evaluation Tool: Carefully examine the evaluation tool, noting the categories, criteria, and performance levels (Distinguished, Successful, Developing, Needs Improvement).

2. Utilize Data: Use data from various sources, such as student achievement, staff satisfaction surveys, and financial reports, to inform your goal setting and evaluation.

3. Self-Evaluation: The principal should complete a self-evaluation, reflecting on their own performance and identifying areas for growth.

4. Gather Feedback: Request feedback from the following individuals:

Pastor: The pastor's perspective is crucial in assessing the principal's role in Catholic Leadership: Catholic Identity.

School Chaplain: The chaplain can provide feedback in Catholic Leadership: Catholic Identity.

Executive Committee of the Board: The executive committee of the board will provide feedback in Managerial Leadership: Leadership and Governance.

Catholic Schools Office: The Catholic Schools Office will provide feedback in Educational Leadership: Academic Excellence.

5. Analyze Feedback: Review the feedback from each stakeholder, identifying common themes, strengths, and areas for improvement.

6. Set Goals: Based on the feedback and self-evaluation, develop specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals for the upcoming school year. Focus on areas where you can make the most significant impact and align with the overall mission and vision of the school.

7. Create an Action Plan: Outline the steps necessary to achieve each goal, including timelines, resources, and accountability measures.

8. Seek Support: Share your goals and action plan with key stakeholders, such as the pastor, board chair, and Catholic Schools Office, to gain support and collaboration.

9. Monitor Progress: Regularly review your progress toward achieving your goals and make adjustments as needed.

10. Seek Professional Development: If there are areas where you need to improve, explore opportunities for professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.

It is recommended to develop 3 goals in the fall, review progress in December and final review in May.
