AppointeesFundraising Chair (Jag Fund Chair)2–3 hours/monthOur big push is the Jaguar Fund, which is a direct ask in the fall, typically launched just after Labor Day through New Year's Eve. This is primarily about putting together a mailing in late August and creating messaging (flyers) about the Jag Fund to go out via the communications team (weekly newsletter, Google group, and Facebook). Past efforts have included talking to teachers about how they use their stipends/funds/grants and creating communications around that as well. We have previously also launched Giving Tuesday drives when needed. Extra hours: 15–20 hours in early through late August planning and coordinating the Jag Fund for the year (typically launches after Labor Day and ends at calendar year end), and 2 hours at each of 3 school events early in the Fall.

Hospitality Chair2-3 hours/month Coordinate a committee of volunteers to coordinate, organize, set up, and clean-up food and drinks for PTSA events (monthly staff breakfast, 5 general meetings, 2–3 garden days)

Teacher Liaison2-3 hours/monthTeacher Liaison is a current teacher at APG. Gathers and synthesizes teacher opinions and voices for PTSA consideration. Presents at Board and General meetings, as needed.

Volunteer Coordinator4-5 hours/month, varies by events plannedSets up volunteer requests on signup.com (https://signup.com/group/957577330032), sends reminders to Google Group, sends volunteer names to PTSA Enews for weekly gratitude segment. Can vary to be more some months, and less other months.

Gear Chair (Co-chairs)3-4 hours/monthManages all the APG PTSA gear sales, orders items, and works with vendors. Attends 4 events a year for gear sales. Also supports 8G sweatshirt gift order. Typically a role filled by two co-chairs.

Financial Riviewer/ Auditor5-7 hours, twice a year • Revies (Audits) the books and financial records (one-time task)
• Presents written reports on audits to the board & PTSA for adoption (extra 4 hours for presenting at two general or board meetings over the year)

Passive Giving Coordinator4-5 hours/monthManage fundraising with community partners like Chalos, Mixto, Proposition Chicken, Shake Shack, Chipotle, Celia's, Gus's, and Sports Basement, etc. Contact businesses in the community, schedule dates for on-site fundraisers, and collect our checks afterwards.

Parent-Teacher Liaison• Grants: 10–12 hours/year • Supplies: 1–2 hours/month • Staff meetings: 2 hours/month• Manage annual teacher grants – update existing grant application, distribute to teachers and serve as primary contact, read and approve/decline applications with the board, communicate decisions to teachers and coordinate fulfillment.
• Check in with teachers on equipment/supply needs, refer requests to school/secretaries when approriate, restock pantry in teacher's lounge as needed (via Amazon subscriptions).
• Coordinate volunteers to set up and clean up monthly staff meetings (usually first Wednesdays).

Student-Parent Council Liaison2-3 hours/monthHelp bring a student voice to our PTSA by checking in with APG Student Government and Beacon each month. Begins in the late Fall semester after student council reps have been chosen

Garden Chair3-4 hours/monthAssists the garden teacher with gardening (especially front gardens), garden purchases, programming, volunteer needs, and Sunday workdays (2–4 per year).

School Tour and Open House Coordinator2-5 hours/monthSet up and run weekly tours October through January and feeder school tours in March/April – Coordinate and run tours with principal, AVID students, and parent volunteers. The AVID teacher (Tanaya Adcock) helps coordinate the students, and the Volunteer Coordinator helps set up signups for parent volunteers. Work with APG Principals and Board to plan the Spring Open House event. May spend more hours during tours in the Fall semester; Spring semester timing is 8-10 hours/month, but varies for planning and co-hostingOpen House

Grade level Event Leads: 6th, 7th, 8th grade 2-3 hours/monthPlan a couple of community-building, social events during the year; support other events, such as the 6th grade orientation; attend one board meeting each month; attend 5 general meetings in the year; and, work with other grade-level event leads.

Communications: Social Media/Calendar/Website Manager14-18 hours/monthPost to PTSA IG and Facebook page and Google Groups listserv, set up IG and FB reels, posts, stories, events; and respond to questions/comments. Posts on and keeps the PTSA website updated at least 2x/week. Updates PTSA calendar at least 1x/week.

Communications: Flyers4-6 hours/monthDesigns and prints fliers for bulletin boards and to post throughout the school when needed; also supplies those graphics to social media person for posting when needed.
