HS students 9-12. Most programs are between 20 and 25 hours per week.
Each partner organization will have its own employment requirements, but here are the most basic requirements:

- Be a City of Chicago resident
- Be between 14 and 24 years of age
- Have permission to participate from a parent or guardian if you're under the age of 18

FUTURE LATINO LEADERS SUMMER LAW INSTITUTE

Wednesday, April 15, 20209-12The Future Latino Leaders Summer Law Institute is a nine-day program run by the HNBF in Washington, DC that provides selected Hispanic high school students the opportunity to learn about the legal profession. Students meet influential Hispanic leaders, have exclusive access to government agencies and tour national monuments. All student expenses during the nine-day program are covered by the HNBF. While there is a non-refundable application fee of $50 and students are responsible for their transportation to and from DC, we offer fee waivers and travel scholarships based on financial need. Please do not allow the cost of transportation to deter you from applying.

- Rising sophomores, juniors, seniors and students graduating in 2020 who have an interest in learning about the law
- Students with a demonstrated interest in helping your community and building their leadership skills

Summer Arabic Language Program for High School StudentsSunday, April 19, 2020A 2 week long program where students can start from scratch in learning Arabic to conversing in it. With the help of this language program, students will be on their way to gaining a global perspective and setting themselves apart as highly qualified college applicants. We believe that learning Arabic can be the start of a fulfilling college experience. Program is held between June 14 to June 27, 2020 at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus.
An Application fee of $25 and once accepted a $250 depost must be made.

Medicina Academy Apprentice Program (MAAP)Friday, April 24, 20209-11Medicina Academy Apprentice Program is a pre-medical program aimed to initiate an educational pathway into medical school by investing in the preparation of high school students aspiring to become physicians. Apprentices take part in medical courses & lab sessions; higher education courses; and inter/intrapersonal activities; and career development sessions twice a month on Saturdays.- Must be a current 9th, 10th or 11th grader at time of application

- Hispanic/Latino origin or interested in medical careers that serve the Latino community;

- Know at minimum conversational Spanish;

- Submit all completed items listed under the Checklist for Admissions Packet.

CPS Advanced Arts Program at Gallery 3711-12Our program offers classes in visual, performance, and culinary arts at our downtown campus. Our arts courses are double honors or Dual Credit and count toward GPA and high school requirements. The CPS Advanced Arts Program is completely free. College Connect Summer Program @ DePaulFriday, May 15, 202011A 5 week summer program hosted at DePaul. Classes that you could take are the following, Breaking News: Journalism 101,Hospitality in Chicago: Leadership, Service, and Success, Animation: The Cartoon Road to Self-Expression and Social Change and more. Saper Law Immersion ProgramThursday, April 30, 2020A week-long camp that exposes high school and college students to the legal profession. The course takes place at Saper Law Offices and is taught by Daliah Saper and other Saper Law attorneys. The curriculum consists of negotiation and writing exercises, field trips to the state and federal courthouse, and mock legal proceedings. Since Saper Law practices heavily in the areas of social media and digital technology, a key component of the exercises will involve entertainment, business, and internet related legal case studies. - Able to commit to 1p-6pm every day Monday – Friday (September 2020 – July 2021)

Latino Health Science Enrichment Program (LaHSEP)Thursday, June 11, 202012A 6-week summer academic enrichment program open to first year undergraduates who will be attending a four year higher education institution in the fall 2020 (preference given to first year UIC students). LaHSEP Track 3 provides participants the opportunity to engage in pre-health workshops, develop Chemistry, Math, English skills, participate in leadership development and meet former LaHSEP participants who are now medical students.- Must be an incoming rising Freshman
- Have a genuine interest in medicine or the health sciences
- Must have been accepted & attending a four-year institution in the fall
- Submit intent to enroll form (UIC students only)
- Complete placement exams & place into college level English and Math 090
- Submit online LaHSEP application, personal statement, and two signed letters of recommendation. Letters of recommendation must be on high school’s letterhead. Letters of recommendation can be emailed to Paulina Guzman at pguzman7@uic.edu

Summer Imerssion @UchicagoRegular: Wednesday, February 26, 2020 Extended: Wednesday, April 1, 2020 11 - 12University of Chicago offers 3 - 6 week long course for students taught by Uchicago professors and are completely transferable to the college. Each summer course, regardless of length, is the equivalent of a full, quarter-long (10 week) course, and meets for a least 30 contact hours.
