Organizer Instructions

These are the directions for organizing a Sunrise Shake. We tried to make everything really simple, so there's the least effort possible to organize, and we can keep them going!

If you organize, you have creative direction over the morning. Have music you've really been wanting to listen to? Play it! Want to do an opening or closing activity? Do it!

Want to volunteer to organize? Use the checklists below.

1.3Figure out who will play music. Have a DJ you love? A playlist? Want people to all bring their own? If you need help deciding reach out.

Day Before Checklist

2.1Send a message to the Facebook thread with time, location, and any other details you want people to know.

2.2Coordinate pickup with Beau from his apartment. Everything should be packed and ready to go. See Inventory sheet for details.

3.1Wake up

3.2Meet up with your collaborator.

3.3Suggest arriving at location 15 minutes before your start time. If you have everything packed the night before, it's a lot easier to roll out of bed and go.

3.4Setup sound.

3.5Make sure sound is not too loud for the location, i.e. that it is not audible from nearby houses. Walk around the perimeter to check. Call someone at the speaker to adjust volume accordingly.

3.6Take down everything afterwards.

3.7Return equipment to storage.
