4	6/6/2024	Grants Updates	Colorado Care Forward funding is ending on December 2024 for the following programs: Pharm Tech, Dental Assisting, Medical Assisting Students will be funded through the Fall '24 Semester.	Funding for these following programs will continue through the Spring 2025 Semeser: Construction / Facilities Maintenance / Advanced Construction / HVAC / Welding
5	6/2/2024	Minimum Grade Reminder	A passing grade at Pickens is 71% or higher. Anything below this = F.	Students MUST earn a C or higher in each individual Pickens course in order to be eligible to conintue in the the program.
6	6/2/2024	Career Assessment Tool on the PTC Website (PD tab)	Have your student START HERE: Career Assessment Survey	This is a great start for students. They can complete either a 6 question or 60 question assessment that will help them narrow down career that they may be a best fit for based on their strengths. If they create account (by going to login) then we can retrieve their results.
7	6/1/2024	Office of Disability Services Information	Benefits of Disclosing Disability in College: Explanation of 504 Accommodations in College	This is a great resource that provides a concise explanation of 504 Accommodations and a student's role in that process.
8	6/1/2024	Tour Options -->	Tours Options: - Small group tours: 5-7 students who are interested in a specific program/pathway so that the tours are focused. - Virtual Tours: View Pickens Virtual Tours HERE - Live Virtual Tours: Career Advisor can do live, virtual tours for larger groups where we do a full campus tour or target specific pathways or a deeper-dive into a program. - 1:1 tours if that works for the student's schedules. Or Pam works on Tuesdays until 7pm & our admin is always available for evening tours. *Contact Jenise Rosa or Pam Rouch for touring support. - See the Classroom: This is a tab located on each program's respective website (through pickenstech.org). This option takes the user on an interactive tour of a program's entire space including their classroom and lab space.
