Nick GroverFree Transit Ottawa ENAll three levels of government say affordability is a top priority. If they really believed that, they'd invest in fast, frequent, and free public transit. This is one of the best ways to get cars off the road, reduce emissions, and save people thousands of dollars a year on car payments. We can have cities with easy access to services, amenities, employment, and recreation via high quality rapid bus service. Instead, we've had to watch our governments waste billions of public dollars on wider roads, needless highways, and pipeline projects that keep the gas flowing for cars that are too often the only way to get around. We deserve better, and we can do better.

MohamadPalestinian Youth Movement - Ottawa ChapterENFor nearly two years, we have watched as our people in Gaza, our families and friends, have been slaughtered by the depraved israeli state. By the most conservative estimates, the death count sits at well over 100,000 men, women, and children that have been murdered. While Gaza is being strangled, settlements are expanding deeper into the West Bank, and israel’s campaign of violence continues to infect the region, Canada is still hiding its complicity in these crimes. At a time when its own citizens are struggling to put food on their tables, this government is helping starve Gaza. While the Indigenous communities here are still subject to discrimination, land theft, and poverty, this government is supporting the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. While our country burns with record forest fires, while our resources are depleted beyond repair in exchange for profit, this government continues to supply israel with the bombs that are accelerating the destruction of entire ecosystems. We cannot sit back and allow the elite to get away with their complicity. We join the Draw the Line march to add our voices to the masses; to demand better.pymottawa@gmail.com
