55 | Salmon River Jr./Sr. High School: Although we only met/exceeded our goals in one area (6th grade math growth), we very nearly met our goals in four other areas (6th grade math proficency, 6th grade ELA proficency and growth, and 8th grade math proficiency). With our small population, one or two students have a big impact on our final percentages. For example, we set a goal of having 56% of 6th graders meet proficiency levels in ELA; we ended up with 45% meeting proficiency. One more student in this cohort meeting proficiency would have put us at 55%, right at our goal. We are proud of our work with these cohorts who met or were very close to meeting our goals. There were areas, particulary with student growth goals, that are disappointed by and will continue to focus our improvement efforts. Eighth grade math is one such area were our goals far exceeded reality. In general, our math scores are a point of focus building wide. We are attending PD provided by the SDE to help us unpack our ISAT data and utilize the Tools for Teachers site to target our instruction in areas of deficiency as revealed by our data. We will also be working with the regional math center at Lewis Clark State to target ways we can improve our math outcomes. Riggins Elementary- This year’s Continuous Improvement Plan demonstrated improvement in some student academics, particularly in the lower grades, and showed that some areas will need additional focus in the coming year. Kindergarten and first grade both met their goals and improved to 88% of their students scoring proficient on the 2025 Spring IRI. Second and third grade narrowly missed their targets by one student in each class. The elementary was able to boost their attendance rate to over 91% for the year. We will continue to make this a focus. The 5th-grade class also showed notable success, exceeding expectations with 80% proficiency, demonstrating that students are leaving elementary school with solid literacy skills. While these results highlight areas of success, they also indicate where increased instructional focus and interventions are necessary to ensure all students reach their full potential. The district will continue refining its strategies to support growth across all grade levels, particularly focusing on grades that did not meet their benchmarks.

57 | Section VI: Notes (Optional space for contextual information about data and/or target-setting process)
58 | NOTES: In setting our 2025-26 Performance Targets, we reviewed previous years of available data, as well as fall data when available. The Leadership Team, which includes parents, staff, and community members, provided feedback and suggestions for goals and strategies for the coming school year. NOTES: We are a very small district and do not have any groups of 5 or more instructional staff that use the same assessment tool, so we are unable to provide staff performance data.
