| Episode # | Which episode of Pinball Lab does this game review correspond to?
| Game Title | What's the name of the game, or the collection?
| Game System | What video game system or platform was the game or collection released for?
| Table Name | What's the name of the individual table this review is for in the game? If it's a single-table game, the name should still be repeated here.
| Release Date | When was this game, collection, or table pack released? Can I even find the date? This isn't part of the review, but helps the historical context and comparison.
| Controls | (1-10) How naturally a table's controls feel and operate! If you press the button, does it respond quickly? Does the layout seem to make sense? Is anything bound in a way that makes it a pain in the ass?
| Graphics | (1-10) How good does the table look? This measurement will likely be influenced both by how it looks in modern standards and how it would have looked compared to other stuff on its platform.
| Theming | (1-10) How good is the table's theme? Does it utilize it well? Is it implemented in a meaningful way? Does it enhance or detract from the table? Does it even have a meaningful theme at all?
| Physics | (1-10) How realistic and good-feeling are the game's physics? Pinball physics can be very difficult to get right, and even modern games often do not. It's rare for anything to get a 10 here.
| Sound | (1-10) How good are the table's sound effects? Are they enjoyable, fun, badass? Does it utilize cool licensed voice clips? Does it play the same sound TOO DAMN MUCH? N/A if there's no sound.
| Music | (1-10) How good are the table's BGMs? Are they enjoyable? Do they get old? Do they fit the theming well? Are there enough of them? N/A if there's no music.
| Shots | (1-10) Do the table's shots feel good? Are they just the right difficulty? Lower ratings indicate the shots suck or are unnecessarily hard in general. 10 is better.
| Modes | (1-10) How are the game's modes? Does it even have any modes? Do they feel fun? Are they easy enough to trigger? 10 is better. N/A if there's no modes.
| Difficulty | (1-10) How hard is the table to play as a whole? This is not a "10 is best" rating, but a "10 is insanely hard" rating.
| Fun | (1-10) How all-around fun is the table to play?
| Review | The text body of my review offering all of my thoughts and feelings on the table as a whole. I might write this before or after assigning all of the point values. There will be no "overall" rating given.

| Eligibility | First, only video games are eligible. Any sort of physical table, pinball system, or toy is not considered to be eligible. Adaptations are eligible. To be eligible, a video game must include discrete and full-featured pinball tables that are not directly integrated with other types of gameplay. This excludes games where pinball is just a minigame integrated into the main game, where you adventure between levels, or where you must also do platforming between sections of tables. Games where pinball tables must be unlocked as a feature are technically eligible, although depending on the difficulty of doing so, they may get put off very significantly; Only the tables themselves will be featured on Pinball Lab unless it's a special episode. For my sanity, tables for simulators like Visual Pinball and Future Pinball will never be considered eligible. This project is about commercially or independently released video pinball games. For the time being, a title must be available on PC, modern consoles, or be possible to emulate. I may pursue games where I need special hardware in the future, but not to begin with. Examples Obvious eligible titles: Super Pinball Behind the Mask, Pinball FX, Pokémon Pinball, Sonic Pinball Party Obvious ineligible titles: Sonic Spinball, Sonic Frontiers, Metroid Prime A less obvious eligible title: Judgment (pinball table only) A less obvious ineligible title: Pinball Quest (main quest) I will occasionally play and review otherwise-ineligible titles as special episodes! |
