note: Avoid events with "Live" the name, as these are live-streams of TED and won't have in-person speakers. You may still want to *attend* these events if they are near you, as the organizers may run a corresponding "Standard" event (eg: TEDxWindsorLive and TEDxWindsor are run by the same team) note: videos from "Standard", "University" and "TEDxWomen" events statistically perform best. I suggest you limit your search to these event types UNLESS it's a TEDxYouth event with GREAT looking past videoFind this here: https://www.ted.com/tedx/eventsnote: Google the event name, guess [TEDxEventName].com, or see if it is linked on the Facebook/Twitter bio. If you can't find one, deprioritize this event for now (either too early in the organization process, or they aren't putting in a ton of effort into the event)note: If there are past events, typically the quality will be higher (and you can find past videos on YouTube)note: if this is more than 8 or so months out, check on the application process laternote: this typically won't be announced until 8-9 months before the eventIF the organizer's TED.com profile says "TED attendee", it's likely the event will be VERY well-run (b/c they've paid a lot to attend a TED event, and TEDx licensing rules allow them a larger audience once they have done this, even if it's a first-time event)Note: search the TEDx YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/TEDxTalks) for the event name if there have been past events

(EXAMPLE) TEDxSpokaneStandardhttp://www.ted.com/tedx/events/19523http://www.tedxspokane.com/https://www.facebook.com/TEDxSpokane/https://twitter.com/TEDxSpokane3 past events (2013, 2014, 2015). 22-Oct?? not listed on TED.com profile, website, facebook, or twitter. Will have to email to find out.James Tender, Grace LeafJames TED.com profile - http://www.ted.com/profiles/1017347
Grace TED.com profile - http://www.ted.com/profiles/1420451

James looks like the head of a school (according to LinkedIn), so probably cares about children and education. He's living in Washington but studied in Georgia, so probably loves the west coast (since he chose to move there). Also from Georgia, so his values could be more traditional

Grace (on her TED.com profile) says she's passionate about empowering young women and lots of outdoorsy stuff. A story in my talk about exploring the outdoors would probably go well!
In my pitch, use some examples about teaching and children (since James is the head of a school)Yes! past videos are welll-producedHighinfo@tedxspokane.com
