Welcome to the SLC's Wellness Resource Page!

Eight dimensions of wellness, adapted from the work of Margaret Swarbrick (2016), are the various facets of existence that impact and inform our overall well-being. Achieving and maintaining wellness is a process that takes not only self-motivation and planning but also tools and practice. This guide identifies and organizes existing resources available on and around campus that can support your wellness journey. While comprehensive, it is neither exhaustive nor complete. We encourage you to check back often for updates and invite you to share your ideas and suggestions for how we can further improve.

This living document takes inspiration from the SAMHSA's Wellness Initiative and the attendant literature developed to support the eight dimensions of wellness. It also owes an enormous intellectual debt to the wellness guide developed by the UC Davis Student Health and Counseling Services, particularly its lucid description of each dimension. Finally, we would like to thank our peer staff, Christian Diaz, for his research and organization of the resources.
