| 📝 MEETINGS EXERCISE: Plan Your Work BBQ!
| Objective: Practice filling out the Meetings Tab by planning a work BBQ. This exercise will help you build confidence in recording actions, decisions, and agendas.
| |||
| Instructions | ||
| 1. Access the Google Sheet Template
| Make a copy by selecting File > Make a Copy (or download it as an Excel file if you don’t have a Google account).
| 2. Fill Out the Meetings Tab
| You are planning a work BBQ meeting. Come up with the following in each corresponding column in the Meetings tab:
| Meeting Title: For example, Work BBQ
| Attendees: List at least 3 fictional or real attendees.
| Agenda Items: Include at least 2 agenda items, such as food options, drinks, entertainement, location
| Type: Decide if each agenda item leads to an Action or a Decision
| Description: Provide short details for each item. Example: "Look for local acts that could provide music or other entertainment"
| Status: Set the progress for each action e.g., Not started, In progress, or Complete. (Remember that a Decision does not have a status so choose N/A for decisions).
| Owner: Assign who will be responsible for each action or decision. An owner MUST be assigned.
| Due Date: Add deadlines for completing the tasks.
| Progress Notes: Add any relevant updates or notes.
| Note: You can also do this exercise in a group setting by proposing to do it as a fun exercise in your next work meeting or your family gathering for example. If you do so, make sure to assign a Chair, a Notetaker (you!), and a Timekeeper
