The wrapper pales in comparison and contributes just a tad bit of leather to the bouquet. When reviewing a cigar I drink nothing but water to ensure that I am experiencing just the cigar and the cigar alone. It is 4.5”x44 rg (or somewhere there abouts) which is great when time is not a luxury to get a smoke in.
The cap has a straight pigtail, reminding me of the hairdo’s of one of the Lollipop Guild dudes in Munchkin Land, while the foot is open.

(Noah)1401GreatThis fine looking Short Corona sports a thick medium to dark brown wrapper with significant mottling as well as a rough and bumpy texture due to thick veins, rough seams and a ton of teeth that are almost crystalline in nature. Very GoodThe majority of the aroma my sniffer is able to pick up originates on the foot where I am able to decipher notes that are both vegetal and floral with a subtle sweetness of fresh cut hay. The wrapper pales in comparison and contributes just a tad bit of leather to the bouquet. GoodMild-MediumMediumOut of the gate this stick smokes like a freight train and with a draw on the loose side of perfect I know I will have to purposely slow my puffing pace. Although the smoke is smooth and plentiful, I wish the flavors were more in line with my taste. Leather and mineral rich earth are dominant to start without much else to compliment or balance the bitterness or the dry finish. About an inch in the flavors get a bit more interesting as subtleties of sweet pipe tobacco join the mix while the retro begins to offer up a white pepper spiciness that I am finding quite enjoyable. Very GoodMild-MediumMediumAlmost everything has changed upon entering the second third. The leather and mineral rich earth have taken a backseat to camp out on the finish that has remained long and dry. Replacing them in the foreground is an interesting mix of white pepper and dried fruit, mainly apricot which contributes a subtle sweetness and tanginess. The retro continues to save the day by amplifying both the sweet and the spicy notes. This is proving to be one of those smokes that I prefer to retro on almost every puff. GoodMild-MediumMediumRandom bursts of clove join the lineup of misfit flavors entering the final third. The flavors have certainly been interesting yet they haven't made a lick of sense and nor have the transitions. Just as quick as they arrived, the notes of clove have faded completely as have the flavors of dried apricot and white pepper. Although delightfully smooth, all that remains is the delicate balance of subtly sweet pipe tobacco and mineral rich earth. Consequently the dying breaths of this cigar are about as humdrum and the first puffs. ExcellentBecause of its size and the fact that the draw was on the loose side of perfect I was intentional about the rate at which I smoked this cigar in order to avoid it burning too hot. Given the loose draw, each puff produced copious amounts of smoke which was a plus. Close to PerfectThis stick burned like a champ from start to finish with a razor thin burn line that never got wonky requiring no touchups or relights. ExcellentDespite a very small patch job near the cap, this stick was constructed well including an even pack from head to foot, slightly rough but tight seams and a long oversized pigtail cap. GoodWith regards to flavors and transitions, this cigar was all over the place which left my taste buds in a state of constant bewilderment however not in the best of ways. Flavor notes had a tendency to appear and disappear with a certain randomness which led me to think about what I was experiencing way more than I typically like to when enjoying a good cigar. On a positive note the smoke was incredibly smooth throughout but that just wasn't enough to make up for the areas where it lacked balance and flavor profiles that complement one another. The second third was certainly the highlight for me when all of the flavors seemed to work together the best albeit for a short period of time. When reviewing a cigar I drink nothing but water to ensure that I am experiencing just the cigar and the cigar alone. It is 4.5”x44 rg (or somewhere there abouts) which is great when time is not a luxury to get a smoke in.
The cap has a straight pigtail, reminding me of the hairdo’s of one of the Lollipop Guild dudes in Munchkin Land, while the foot is open.
Overall a solid looking little cigar.		ExcellentMusty hay and barnyard permeate the nostrils upon the sniff check.ExcellentMedium-StrongMedium-FullWow the retrohale has a challenging pepper zing that’s really enjoyable. Kinda like that hot pepper that makes ya sweat, but ya love it, so you keep eating them.
The smoke output is generous, while the draw is easy and just right.
There is some strength here as well.
The finish is long, resting well on the palate in between draws.
The flavors I’m getting are cocoa powder, sweet cayenne pepper, baking spices, and cedar.
It should be noted that by the end of the first third, the retrohale was very enjoyable with a bit of savory smoothness now coming in.		ExcellentMedium-StrongFullBaking spices, coffee, savory paprika, come through on the transition to the second third.
Retro and flavors are extremely enjoyable.
