Develop and implement noncredit supports into guided pathways (GP) across all partner colleges.Examples of noncredit supports to be integrated into GP include career exploration, mirrored courses, preparation for CTE disciplines, noncredit pathways and multiple on-ramps to credit CTE programs. Each partner college will implement at least two noncredit supports by the end of Round 3.
5
Coordinate the development and mapping of noncredit program pathways that map high schools and/or adult schools to community college and/or employment. This mapping will facilitate noncredit to credit transitions and employment goals for students. Well-designed pathways can support students as they enter, navigate, and complete postsecondary education as well as deepen connections among high schools, colleges, and regional industries.Pathways will include various entry and exit points, but noncredit will provide multiple on-ramps into pathways to college or employment. Each partner college will develop and map at least two pathways to CTE credit programs and/or employment. Pathways will be mapped to the priority sectors identified by the region.
6
Hold professional development activities for credit and noncredit faculty. The professional development will be faculty driven and will provide support and training on topics such as noncredit pathways, noncredit supports, noncredit curriculum, and professional development on aligning with various state and federal metrics related to noncredit in order to maximize outcomes. One major professional development activity will include utilizing West Ed or the Career Ladders Project to guide the mapping of noncredit to credit CTE pathways in order to create more structured and relevant pathways that foster academic and career success for our students.By the end of Round 3, the MtSac faculty lead and project manager will organize at least three professional development regional events for mapping pathways, integrating into college GP, and maximizing outcomes.
7
Regional data development for noncredit supportsThe lead college in this project will engage with each partner college to create noncredit data reports that identify and represent noncredit achievement outcomes. This will build regional capacity for noncredit data collection and data sets that reflect the noncredit impact on the region, colleges, and students. The reports will access data systems such as college data systems, MIS data, regional Center of Excellence, Launchboard, and AEP data. Analysis will include examining student enrollment into noncredit support courses and the impact of those support services, including credit course success, progression to college-level work, progression from noncredit to credit, completion of 9+ CTE units, employment gains, attainment of living wage, impact on financial aid, and degree/certificate attainment.
