1. Please input "Project Name" and "Grantee Name" in the top cells.

2. Complete the "Expense," "Vendor," "Cost," and "Quantity" for each expense (see sample line). The "Total" column already includes a formula to calculate cost, please verify that the formula is calculated correctly.

3. If you need additional lines, please insert a new row. Please make sure any formulas copy over into the new rows.

4. The "Subtotal" row will automatically add all expenses detailed above.

5. Your budget should include a 10% contingency. This must be included within the total grant ask. The template already includes a formula to calculate the contingency, please verify that the formula has calculated correctly.
6. The "Total" row is your total ask. It should not be over $10,000.
7. When complete, save your spreadsheet as a (.xls) file format and upload in the application form.

8. You can submit a budget narrative with your budget if you think it needs more explanation. It should be a maximum 500-words, submitted as an accompanying PDF file. This is optional, and not submitting a narrative will not affect your score.
