Climate-attributable Insured Weather Losses

This analysis was performed by SEO Amsterdam Economics. The estimation of global
weather-related insured losses attributable to climate change drew on two distinct
datasets: (i) reported weather-related insured losses, and (ii) climate change attributable
losses for extreme weather events. The methodology used published findings and
applied current practices in peer-reviewed climate attribution science and is outlined further in the report.
