22 | LONG LAKE N. FORK CAMPBELL CREEK, SOME WILL GO WITH BRUCE TALBOT TO TIKISHLA PEAK FROM THE LONG LAKE TRAIL WHICH WOULD BE AN ELEVATION GAIN | WED | 6/21/2017 | 9:00 AM | Meet at Basher Rd. Trailhead (the top of Campbell Airstrip Rd). This is a long moderate hike, about 6 miles to get to or overlook the lake (RT about 12 miles w/2200' elev gain, figure 7 hours). Can turn back at any point and still see the beautiful valley on back side of Wolverine. The valley is quite beautiful and anywhere could be a nice turnaround place. There is no definitive, continuous trail - we plan on placing flagging tape and the last person can retrieve it. Once we are in the valley, for those who want to ascend 3000 feet up from the north fork valley, Bruce Talbot has offered to lead a group up Tikishla - this is not a technical climb but does involve some rock scrambling. It is a 3000' elev gain from the valley, so plan on a long day). Limited parking so car pool as much as possible. The hike will be weather dependent as it would not be fun with winds or rain. | Judyccaminer@gmail.com 907-227-4125 for LONG LAKE Bruce Talbot bruce.talbot@gmail.com for TIKISHLA | ||||||||||||||||||||
