Really nice way to look at different point of views and helped us understand each other. Pretty hard to describe what I'm looking at.

4/15/2025 11:24:49anon. 3123Collab - 3 mins, Cast - 2 mins, Single - 1 min325445551I don't really recall, but know for a fact that it was a lot more intuitive to talk to each other and point at things in the collab mode (when it was working + not glitching)Very intuitive to talk with each otherAlso very intuitive - less mental load + eye strain, and easy to see what's going on. Also eliminates conflict in terms of who has "control" (because only one person always has control)Less distracting and more immersive in a way, as I didn't have to share control with other people, nor did I have to rely on someone else's headset to see what was going on. Also minimized glitching. However, the experience was significantly less collaborative, and it felt very difficult to discuss anything with my group.Amazing job on getting such a high quality deliverable in such a short time! I really enjoyed this activity.

4/15/2025 11:29:05anon. 412330 seconds311455552The ability to steal the brain from one another, the ability to put your head into the brain to see inside - this helped me understand the full functionality Collaboration did not work on my device so I tried it out on one of my teammate's headsets. This was very cool to be able to see the same brain, in the same location, and to see how my teammate's movements were reflected for me. I really enjoyed this and this feels like the next step forward for AR collaboration!I really enjoyed this experience, it was a good way to have conversation with my teammates. I could see this being a great way to use headsets when not everyone has one. This worked well but less collaborative. I enjoyed this experience as well but I would not use it over the other two options if I was trying to work with a team.Great job! This was very cool to see collaboration work with multiple headset wearers. I had a positive experience and I would recommend collaboration mode for other people trying to do interactivity with users in AR.

4/15/2025 11:29:25anon. 5123111111555When you are in collaboration mode and you and your partners are trying to move the brain without controllers(with hands), the movement of the brain changes a bit versus when you originally were interacting with it. The collaboration mode since we were the first group to use it was very smooth and easy to use. The 4th member had an issue where they got caught in a different room and then they just had to leave the app and come back.Nothing, on the castig front it was super smooth and worked well.Single mode was also very useful and easy to view. Both the hands and controllers interaction were pretty seamless. I thought the project especially given the time constraints was really well done. Definitely one of my favorites from the entire class. Also a more light hearted comment, I think an ability to throw the model to the next person or just throw it into space.

4/15/2025 11:31:02anon. 6321I think collaboration took the longest, just to figure out if we were all seeing the right thing335231331I think most of our comments on collaboration were situating where the model was located, and it was surprising when other participants saw things moving in different areas.I thought the collaboration felt exciting, and it felt natural to see other's physical movements translate to the brain's movements. Casting felt familiar, similar to if someone was sharing their screen and the others could make comments or direct them. Casting does feel most similar to a single driver, and others are more passive participants.Single felt the most isolating, since you could only see your own movements, and would have to verbally explain anything you were seeing to the others in the room.

4/15/2025 11:31:34anon. 72311432345422Not particularly. We manipulated the model together, which felt fun and engaging to watch as other people interacted, but there was nothing that stood out from being highlighted. There was a moment where someone else knocked my controller out of my hand when we both reached for the model! It was still fun to play with, but it made it clear how "conflict" can come up between users.Nice, but felt more isolating than the collaboration mode. Not particularly engaging to look at in the same way as being in the headset. This is my preferred mode! I'm not sure that collaboration added much, given the task was fairly simple and the only real focus was to just manipulate the model.Really interesting project! Great work on getting the collaboration working.

4/15/2025 11:31:46anon. 8312432244432Being able to all see a brain and simultaneously interact with it. Grabbing objects & stealing from each other -- could be an interesting way to do XR sports.Great way to interact with like a 3D model in a same space as someone else. Limited by current network capabilities when there are many people accessing the same file on the same network.Easy, intuitive way to display what user sees in a mobile format. Field of view of recast screen is slightly higher than on HMD, based on where people usually look with their eyes.Simple and easy, but might not have as many additional ways to incorporate multiple people in accessing the same model.Great work on getting collaboration working on Unity, despite the corrupted files setback.

4/15/2025 11:33:59anon. 93122-4 minutes523322441While casting we found out that the camera frame cuts off some parts what we're actually seeing in the headset. In collaboration mode, when it got to over 3 people, 2 of us saw the same brain and the other could see the movement but the location was slightly off.It was hard to get the collaboration part to actually work, but it was nice to see how other people are moving the brain. I could see the other team moving the brain at some point and it was interesting to see it from far away.I think this was the most easiest and fun approach where it wasn't as hard to share but still could see others' action. The starting point was slightly off, so I had to move physically to grab the model but it was easy to move around.

4/15/2025 11:35:11anon. 10231less than a minute, maybe 30 seconds, shorter time on later conditions.312555541Lots! We discussed lag quite a bit. There was ~1/2 second lag for interactions that other folks were doing. We talked about where the brain was and collaborated to place it in various specific places, often in relation to someone else's head. We talked about taking screen shots of specific setups.Really exciting to see the brain in the same shared space! That is a first in my AR experience of many years. Very exciting! Even with this very simple setup, it was clear that we could talk and collaborate to do (somewhat silly) tasks!Meh. Slight entertaining to see the virtual world on the screen, and we talked a bit about how we could remember the collaborative mode based on what were seeing during the casting. That would have been different if we did casting first, I guess.Perhaps the most annoying, because we couldn't even use the app at the same time. So collaboration wasn't just hard, it was basically impossible.Again, very exciting to see the consistent virtual object! I wish I understood enough about the flow of data between devices to know where the lag is coming from. One thing I thought of today concerned how I treated different parts of the augmented world during the activity. First, two of us were grabbing for the brain trying to own control of it. It was quite entertaining, engaging, and fun. At one point, though, we hit our hands together and at least one controller was dropped. Today I realized that the brain and the controllers are fundamentally different -- I can't collide with the brain, but I can with the controller. They are both in the augments space, though, and so I think it was confusing to be going after the brain (which I had to reach through) and to actually collide with something. Having real things in the augmented world is not a familiar experience. It could be that I'll learn more about that with more experience. It could be that the fact that the brain blocked me from seeing the other controller was a factor. It could be something else :-). A second experience was similar. I tried putting the brain on top of peoples heads and also over their heads. At least once while doing that I collided with the person's head... oops. But perhaps another example of the same phenomenon. And maybe something to include thoughts about in your report.

4/15/2025 11:35:53anon. 11132It takes some time to get connect to the collaboration mode 321311521The lagging creates an interesting effect that the hands moving up seems lead to the brain moving down. It is also fun to see the brain on top of someone's head. I wonder if you support various assets(emojis) can people can distinguish other's emotion or something Getting pair up is hard. I am still not sure about how(maybe the network lagging creates issue?). It is fun to see other people moving something. I can totally see the possibility of zoom call over VR. This feels the least interesting because casting to a computer/phone does not really tell much info about the 3D dynamics. Single mode does not create much discussion between tho. it is really fun! I cannot wait to see more. There is a bug time when there is two brains flying to the opposite directions, and you might want to take a look on what cause this strange thing to happen.

4/15/2025 11:36:50anon. 122311 minute111231433We did not observe anything particularly interesting. I guess we were having too much fun moving the model around in the collaborative space!I think it's a better way of communication compared to the others. Almost feels like we're in the same physical space viewing an actual model.Seeing other people's FOV can be awkward sometimes. The person wearing the headset has to be careful about what they see and what they do to deliver meaningful streamed video.Easiest to use but not so great for collaboration.I like using hands to move the model over controller. The movement felt more natural.
