2	Radon testing is not currently required, however legislation requires districts to test all schools by 2021. In 2016, North Clackamas Schools started testing all of our buildings for radon using EPA protocols.

4	Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas that can cause lung cancer. You can’t see or smell radon. Testing is the only way to know your level of exposure. For more information on Radon, visit the US EPA site:

57	Samples were taken and tested by independent environmental company and laboratory.
58	*The independent lab recommended Bilquist be retested. As a result of their questioning the test results, the district discovered the tests may not have been conducted in compliance with EPA protocols resulting in inaccurate results. Corrective actions have been taken and retesting completed to assure compliance with EPA's guidelines.
