| Adversary | Canon Adversary | The Grandmaster - She's not just a bundle of muscles. No, she's smart, and in need of someone who can match her mind. But mere games won't do it forever. Eventually, you'll need some real stakes. | The Juggernaut - She's a massive, hulking thing, tearing apart everything and everyone in her path. You might as well give up, but maybe you can leave her something to remember you by before she crushes you | The Thug - Honour is just a way for losers to hamper people better than them. No, she wants to win, and she'll use any dirty trick in the book to get it. Sink to her level or you'll end up bloody on the floor | The Hunter - You didn't show up for the fight, so she's coming for you. Now the woods are inside the cabin and you're the one lying and cheating to survive. Good job, you turned the story on its head after all. | The Assassin- She's sick of this constant struggling, and there's only one way out. Finish things. She's willing to talk now, but she's just waiting for a terminal first strike. Get yours in first. | The Berserker- She's got nothing but the need to fight left in her. She can't talk now even if she wanted to. Instead, she hurls herself at the bars of her cage, and they won't last forever. You'll never get a better chance | The Knight- She loves you, but will not give her hand to pampered nobles and spoiled brats. No, to win her heart you must prove yourself her equal. She draws her sword, smiles, and beckons for you to begin. | The Brute - Oh, that's a very big woman. She towers over you, ready to crush your skull with one hand. You can't fight her, she'll snap you like an egg. What else can you do? | The Ogre- She's got the brawn, sure, but no brains. You could get a useful ally here, if you play your cards right. You could get snapped like a twig if you don't, granted, but there's no reward without risk.
| Prisoner | The Gladiator - You're forced to fight, but she's not your enemy. She'll spar for now, but she has a plan to bring the fight to whoever put you here. Follow her lead. | Canon Prisoner | The Victim - She's a broken down as you, crushed under chains and helplessness. Perhaps you can empathise, or even inspire her. If nothing else, you can at least suffer together. | The Sealed - They're getting serious about this, it seems. She's completely immobilized and helpless, unable to stop you doing your job. It's easy....too easy. When does the other shoe drop? And even in this situation, she must have a plan, right? | The Husk - You left her to rot, and now she's lying in her own filth, skeletal and withered. You'd be forgiven for thinking her broken. But that just means she's had a lot of time to think. And while her voice is thin, her eyes are as sharp as they ever were. | The Oubliette - You can't even see her anymore. The pit goes down deep, and her voice echoes up from it. It's a little unclear how you could slay or free her. You'll have to think outside the box for this one. Or just leave her. What's she going to do? | The Survivor- She's trapped beneath the rocks and roots, luring in wildlife for food. But she's smart, and she knows the wilderness. She's got a plan to escape, if you're game. If not? She'll find a way out eventually | The Cliche- The poor girl sits there, pretty and frail with mascara tears and a long dress. She wails out the window, pleading for a noble hero to come save her! Finally your chance to shine. Just keep your eyes on the chain rather than the smirk she's not quite hiding. | The Mastermind- She barely speaks, doesn't emote, but you can tell from her eyes that she's keeping track of everything that happens. She's not telling you what her plan is, and you don't know what your part in it is. But you're sure it isn't good. | The Hostage - You're not one for altruism, huh? No worries. She's more than happy to offer a little quid pro quo if you let her out. What do you want? It's a golden opportunity - but be careful. You might not have her quite as over a barrel as you think.
| Tower | The Storm - You can barely see the humanoid figure in the storm clouds, and in the massive, unstoppable destruction. You cannot beat her, but show you can survive her and she might yet choose you nonetheless | The Abomination: You were right, this wasn't a normal prison. There's an ancient and eldritch force, sealed away beneath the earth, speaking through the shadows. You must find the way to free her, or to destroy her. But each new revelation winds her tentacles further into your brain. | Canon Tower | The Baroness - She's a princess. That is, she's rich, powerful and used to getting what she wants. Even in chains, she's got the divine right of queens, and it is your place to bow. What she says goes...unless you can find a way to even the odds | The Fallen- What's a deity stripped of worship? What's a myth with no-one to tell it? A broken goddess lies in her ruined temple, and can barely summon up one last miracle when you finally return. This time, she's the one at your mercy. Will you grant her the apotheosis she craves? | The Monolith - She stands, massive and impassive. But she is too vast to care about you, and you're too small to affect her. An insect and a rock. You're at an impasse until someone does something new. | The Primordial - There is something ancient here, something that predates cabins and blades and thoughts. Do you think you can defeat Nature herself? No, you should submit to the savage wilderness...unless you have a really good plan | The Angel - She shines with holiness and radiance, her smile beatific and her wings spread wide. She will lead you to the light, and then the world with it. To defy her - never mind to slay her - is blasphemy of the highest order. You wouldn't do such a thing, would you? | The Overlord- It looks like the Narrator was right. Within the basement is a great and terrible evil, a destroyer of worlds and butcher of nations. Her hands run with blood and her eyes shine with cruelty. Perhaps you should submit to her terrible power - or maybe you should do the stupid thing instead. | The Queen - You can't stay a princess forever, after all. She's ascended to the throne, and now she's rich, powerful and divinely chosen. She's looking for an agent, and you suit the role. But on the other hand, if there was ever a time for the revolution...
| Razor | The Fencer - She's gussied up and calmed down. She's elegant and refined, but a murderer nonetheless, and she doesn't accept surrender. Still, there are at least rules now. Maybe you can finally beat her. | The Trapper - You don't see her, but she's left bear traps and hidden blades throughout the maze the cabin has become, her voice crackling over the speakers. But there must be a way through to her. All mazes have a centre. | The Butcher - Her eyes are cold and her face is bare metal. There is no humour, no playfulness. There's just pain and blood. Find a way to escape this waking nightmare. | Canon Razor | The Rusted - Well done. You beat her. You left her down there, and now she's she's no threat to anyone anymore. Her blades are dull, her metal bones too rusted to move. You can take your revenge at last, if you want. Or maybe you can finally talk. | The Blade - She ignores everything you do. She kills you. She doesn't talk. She kills you. She doesn't play. She kills you. The cycle continues until you find a way to break it. She kills you | The Mouser- Her hands bristle with claws and her teeth are razor sharp, and her laugh sounds like a cackling hyena. She's got the eyes of a predator and the cruelty of a cat. But it means she draws out the kill, so maybe there's some chance to escape after all. | The Widowmaker - She is beautiful and charming. She beckons you into her arms, and her embrace comes with a knife in the back. But don't worry, she purrs when you return. She's a changed girl, now. This time, its real. Come over here, lover. | The Lurker- The room is dark, barely lit by flickering bulbs. Something giggles from the shadows of the room. Light glints from the mirrored walls. Where is she? You need to find her before she finds you. Again. | The Imposter- She's learnt to put a new set of skin on, after she tears her old one. Now she looks different each time, acts different, moves differently. Maybe she even hides as another princess. But there's the same set of knives under each one. Fool me once...
| Stranger | The Opponent - The final battle is coming, but what kind? Bloody and brutal, or ordered and sophisticated? Bitter and hateful or joyful and passionate? An drawn out match or a rapid beatdown? There is a different fight behind each door, against a different shard of battle. When's the final fight? | The Revelation - You don't know what, but you know that something waits at the end of the story. How many more masks do you need to tear off? How many more doors do you need to open? What lies at the end of this story you're telling yourself, and is it anything close to the truth? | The Ancient - Down in the darkness lies something impossibly powerful. It might be kind or cruel, majestic or petty, monstrous or divine. Walk the shards of churches and temples, and see what goddess you have called into being. | The Curse- You can't see anyone, but things keep getting worse. The cabin gets more dangerous each time you return. Just your fucking luck. But at least this time, maybe there's someone to blame. Somewhere in these cursed walls is the woman behind it all, if you can find her. | Canon Stranger | The Void- There's nothing here anymore. The cabin is empty, much to the Narrator's shock. But even an absence is a presence of sorts. If anyone can kill someone who isn't there, it's you. | The Cryptid- The cabin is overgrown, impossible to see into through the branches and the vines. Getting past is difficult, and you can't see the source of the strange noises and breaking twigs. What have you given birth to? | The Glimmer - You don't know what shines at the end of the tunnel, but you know it's beautiful. Keep walking, and don't let the doubts sink in. She'll only stay beautiful as long as you trust her. Keep faith, lest she wither before you ever see her face. | The Unseen - The cabin is empty. How can it be empty? She has to be here somewhere. What of the rest of the rooms of the cabin, the bedroom and the bathroom? It must have those too, right? Where's she lurking...and what is she? | The Trove - A Princess? Don't be absurd, you're not listening to this schmuck. No, there's got to be money in there! Gold! Gems! You just need to get past the Narrator's babblings and find a way to your rightful reward. He'd only be warning you if he didn't want you to get his share
| Spectre | The Poltergeist- She might be dead, but she's back for round two. There are unearthly screams as items are hurled by invisible hands. You must defeat her again, somehow. Fists won't do it this time, but if there's one thing you know for sure, there's no fight you can't win eventually | The Haunting - Alas, it seems you can't see ghosts. But she's not gone. There's bloody walls. Creaking. Shrieks and whispers. She's here, invisible or no. You just need to figure out where, and what to do about it... | The Demon - Whatever she was in life, that's gone now. Everything good in her bled out when you struck her down, and now all that's left is the worst. She's come back as a monster, consumed with hatred for you. Destroy her before it's too late, unless you have faith some traces of her remain behind those burning eyes. | The Obsession- You took from her, and now she's taking back. A thing whispers from your shadows, bitter and spiteful, and you can feel your will start to fade more with each minute. Drive her off before the possession is complete, unless you decide that fair's fair. Who knows how she'll react to that? | The Departed- Well. Looks like your job's easier than you thought. She's dead. Just dead. All that remains are flickers of memories dancing through the halls. Maybe that's what's keeping things going? Forget her, before you remember too hard and bring her back. | Canon Spectre | The Heir- It's the cycle of life. Dead is dead, but death leads to new life, and one crawls from the rot. She's a new wearer of an old crown, inheritor of the newly vacant throne. Perhaps this is a chance for a new start. Or maybe it's just easy prey. | The Returned - Behold! The power of love can conquer even death itself! She's returned, good as new, just as beautiful as when you met her. A happy ending! Let's just hope she doesn't hold a grudge | The Phantom - Something terrifying and spectral stalks the house. She barely speaks, hissing and snarling through a rotting face. But she wants revenge. She must do. Kill her before she kills you! | The Revenant - Ok, you admit you kind of deserve this one, but you're still not happy about it. She's back, rotten inside and out, and she wants her revenge. Still, you fooled her once, didn't you? How hard can it be?
| Beast | The Dragon - The great and terrible beast tears from her lair, flames flickering from her maw, claws carving into the floor. The epic battle of a thousand stories begins, with you in the starring role. Become the dragon slayer at last! | The Glatisant - There is something hiding in the darkness of the cabin, a beautiful light gleaming from above sharp teeth. There is a quest to find the great beast, and gain your divine reward. But which of you is the knight, and which is the quarry? | The Hulk - Subtlety is for the weak, and she's not weak anymore. Now she's a massive predatory monster, tearing through the undergrowth towards you. You can't outrun her, or outfight her. But subtlety is for the weak, and maybe you can outthink her. | The Scavenger - If you're patient enough, you don't need to fight. Ragged and filthy, she's happy to talk as she stalks behind you, waiting for you to stumble enough to be devoured. This cabin is dangerous. She might not need to wait long. | The Savage - She looks up at you, dress ragged and crown rusted, nails grown into long yellow claws. She's broken, and she growls at you as you enter the door. It's not even about escape anymore. You left her to starve. And now, to her, you're just meat. | The Doe - Look! There, between the trees! You're the one hunting her this time, but she's faster than you could ever be and knows this place like the backs of her hands. And if it goes on too long? She's still smart enough to turn the tables. | Canon Beast | The Hound - Your loyal beast, always stood at your side, noble and majestic. She loves you. But she still wants out, and even a loyal hound will turn if given no other choice. | The Shrike- Bloody bodies and broken bones over a room full of sharp stones. The predator is something quick and agile, waiting for a chance to impale you. Don't worry. You won't die until you agree to let her out. | The Trophy - A beautiful and majestic creature watches from the bright garden, and she's happy to come with you. For now. But remember. One of you has to end up mounted over the fireplace, and if it's not her...
| Damsel | The Rival - An amazonian beauty, handwraps on and muscles flexed. You want to fight? Oh, she's happy to spar, wrestle, box - whatever you ask for. But a contest requires a winner. Can your relationship survive learning which of you is the most powerful? | The Dame - In she walks, legs up to here, a smokey look in her eyes. She promises that together you can escape, and learn the truth behind how you ended up in this cabin. But can you trust her? Or are you just another silly young man she's got wrapped around her finger? | The Tyrant - A cold beauty, a faint smile under gleaming eyes. She loves you, as long as you do every single thing she asks. You'd do what she says if you loved her, right? And if you don't, she's more than happy to remind you how nothing you'd be without her. | The Heartbreaker - She whispers sweet nothings and runs her fingers down your chest, but she can't fool you. Of course no-one would love you. You're just her meal ticket, her way out of here. But at least she's sweet about it. It might be better than nothing. | The Widow - She waited for you for so long, sat by the window as her clothes turned black with ash. And now you've finally returned! She pulls you into an embrace, and drags you into a kiss. But be careful. She learnt her lesson. She won't let you leave this time - better to be imprisoned together then free alone. | The Puppet - You gave her nothing, and now she's barely a person anymore, just an empty doll that does nothing but what you ask for. She doesn't even blink without your permission. But she was a person once, and maybe there's someone still in there if you can bring her out. | The Lover - Love? No, no, nothing so sophisticated. It's raw animal attraction this time, and she has neither shame or restraint. Some people would be very happy with this. But it can't last forever, can it, and there must be something there waiting under the passion. | Canon Damsel | The Maneater - Oh, she's pretty. She's covered in blood, her knife sharp and her smile dark. You shouldn't trust her, of course. She means you harm. She barely even hides it. But oh, she's pretty. | The Dupe - Behold, the perfect woman! Stupid, gullible and endlessly forgiving. Your meal ticket is here at last. But maybe don't push it too far. Even a fool can tell when they're being used eventually, and hell has no fury...
| Nightmare | The Slasher - Straight out the silver screen, she's coming with a mask and machete, eager to cut you apart. But you're not going down like a bimbo from a horror movie, and you've got a blade of your own. No sequels for this one. It ends here. | The Pursuit- It's like a nightmare. You can't quite see her in the expanses of the basement, but she's right behind you, no matter what you do, never running but always getting closer. There must be some way to stop her, but how? | The Eclipse- The mask floats in the the all-consuming darkness, spreading to swallow all things. Her voice is chill and empty. You are a flickering candle, soon to be snuffed out, unless you can find a way to light up the night. | The Shadow - Something unseen follows you. It could be any of the shadows in the flickering light. She could lunge out at any time, no warning, and end it all. At least she makes sure you know it. Maybe you can use that? | The Shattered - There's nothing to be scared of anymore. She's a broken doll, dragging herself along on string and broken porcelain. Your heart is fine. It's tragic, but can you risk putting her back together? | The Bogey- The room is dark and bright, and you can hear her giggling from the shadows. She wants to play a game, a cruel and bitter game. She'll get her vengeance one sick challenge at a time. But at least its something new, right? And who knows. Maybe you'll even win. | The Wolf - The great and terrible beast comes after you, stalking through the darkness. Don't run, she's faster than you. Don't fight back, she's stronger than you. Hide, and hope you can find somewhere her big eyes can't see. | The Siren- A light shines in the darkness, flickering from behind the eyes of a serene mask. Everything around her is darkness, and she is all you can see. And sure, you could leave her. You could throw the knife. You could charge her. But her arms are wide, and she is beautiful. And she will kiss your heart after she tears it out. | Canon Nightmare | The Faustian - From the shadows she speaks, never quite close enough to be seen. She doesn't trust you and you don't trust her, but you can put things in writing. Make a pact with your fears, and you can both get ahead. Just make sure to read the fine print
| Witch | The Cutpurse - She's seen what happens when she gets into a straight fight with you. She's not making that mistake again. She cackles from the shadows, knife sharp, waiting for an opportunity while darting behind vines. Stay sharp. She's coming. | The Charlatan- It's all water under the bridge, she says with a perfect smile. It's all forgiven and forgotten, nothing to worry about. She's lying, of course, but you do need each other. And the best lies have some truth. Figure out her real game, and how much you can trust her, or you're never leaving this place. | The Jailor - How do you like it? Turnabout is fair play, after all, and lurking behind the door with a rock let her turn the tables. Now you're the one chained up, and she's the one with the key to your freedom. Now go on. Lie, cheat and do whatever it takes to stop her from slaying you. It's your turn to be the damsel in distress now. | The Desperate- You shattered her heart, and now there's nothing left but shards and pain. She's desperate for escape, and she'll do whatever it takes to get it. She might be willing to negotiate, but you know what they say about caged rats... | The Warlock - You betrayed her, killed her and abandoned her. She's been down here festering with hatred and nothing but curses to keep her strong, and she's filled this place with so many. Sick, tainted magic seeps down the walls of this hovel, and she's still not pulled out the worst of it. And now, the person who left her this way has finally returned... | The Wronged- No. No more clever schemes or subtle feints. She wants you fucking dead, and she's not giving you a chance this time. You open the door to find her in the cabin, blade in hand, already rushing the door. Think fast. | The Killer - No more talking. She's heard all your lies before, and actions speak louder. So she's torn a rock from the ground and is lying in wait in the caverns below. This grudge can only be erased in blood, yours or hers. Maybe next life, you can talk. | The Succubus - Oh, she got you read, and she knows your weakness. Here she is, beautiful and purring. Perhaps the charming rogue wants to put his blade down for a kiss from the pretty princess? Keep your wits about you. She's still got hers. | The Monster - You really broke her, and now she's got so twisted by hate that there's nothing left . Bloody cackles and sharp fangs lunging from the darkness, snarled threats from the woods. Your sins have come back to roost, but maybe you don't have to face them after all. Or maybe you just need to kill her again. | Canon Witch
