1	Have you ever watched a storm? Watch this Mystery Science lesson, then go outside and have fun looking at the weather. Notice: How warm or cool is it? What is in the sky? Is it raining or snowing? Is it windy? Make a weather drawing of the weather that you see outside.	What can we learn by observing animals? Choose on of the explore livecams and observe animals from around the world. Draw what you observe and label your drawing. What do you notice about the animal? What do you notice? Return to the same webcam at a different time and/or a different day. What do you observe that is the same? What is different?

3	How do we hear? Whisper to a famiy member. How far away can you still hear the whisper? Talk in a regular voice. How far away can you move and still hear the person? How far away to you think you can be and still hear a shout (or loud voice)? Try it out. Were you surprised? Repeat the whisper, talking and shouting while holding your hand to your voice box on the front of your neck. What do you feel? Does a whisper feel the same as the same as talking? Watch and listen to the read-aloud: Sounds All Around	Why are foods many colors? Watch the video. What did you learn? Draw a picture of your favorite fruit and/or seeds.

5	How do we hear? Explore more about sound at DK findout!: Sound Once more, repeat whispering to someone, this time with the listener's hands cupped behind their ears. Can you hear the whisper from a different distance? What if you hold a piece of paper or part of a paper plate around your ears? does this change what you can hear? What do you notice if you point the papers around your ears in different directions?	Why do we brush our teeth? Watch the video? What did you learn? Show an adult how your brush your teeth.

7	Which property is that? All objects have properties, or characteristics that we can describe. Try finding objects with the properties listed on this scavenger hunt. When you find an item, think or talk about why you think it has that property. Read more about properties in these articles. Watch this video Properties of Materials.	It's Alive! Watch the video. Look throughout your home and yard. What things are living? What things are nonliving?

9	What is the taller tower that you can make with materials you find in your house? Find materials around your house; paper, plastice cups, blocks books, boxes, etc. What will your tower look like using the materials that you have gathered? How high do you think you can build your tower with the materials that you have gathered? Build your tower. How high is your tower? Measuer how high your tower is. What do you notice you need to do to get the tallest tower? Is there a special way that you stacked your items? How strong or wobbly is it?	Why do woodpeckers peck wood? Do this Mystery Science Lesson. Take a walk in your neighborhood. While you are outside, take a closer look at the plants and animals you see. What do you notice? What do you wonder?
