Pre-Summer Checklist:

·       RETs meet with mentors and tour labs – set up individually through graduate students
9
·       Project abstracts and reading selection sent to teachers for pre-summer prep
10
·       Review past RET developed projects and watch implementation videos from past RETs (select lessons that most align with your curriculum to view)

·       Submit short bio and headshot for our 'Meet the Teachers' portion of the website

·       Pick up your UT ID cards from campus (you'll receive a email with instructions when these are ready to be picked up)

·       Pick up your UT Parking Permit (these will either be emailed or hard copies printed for pick at a designated location)

Post-Summer Follow-up:

·       Teachers will roll-out the RET curriculum they developed to their classes

·       Classroom observations performed to identify any changes to the teacher’s pedagogy, teaching style, and philosophy as a result of program participation.

·       Faculty and graduate student visits to teachers’ schools (or virtually) where they can co-lead an activity or give a presentation to the students to assist in the roll-out of the RET created materials.

·       Post-Summer Showcase where RETs gather to demonstrate their activities to other teachers, school administration, and the local K-12 community

·       Teachers lead a professional development activity disseminating their learnings from the RET program to a broader community of educators
