Head, Data & E-resources ControlStanford LibrariesThe Data column is very wide but the box can only be expanded down. It would be nice to be able to add more than one administrative note at a time. I tried to use the | but to concatenate but that did not work. MMZ: added jias: UIBULKED-520 and UIBULKED-521I had multiple Administrative notes in my record and it said it would change all of them. However when I clicked commit I got a Green line of 0 records have been successfully changed and the Reason for error was No change in value required. I removed the extra notes and left in only 1 in this record and I am still getting the error. https://folio-perf-spitfire-diku.ci.folio.org/inventory/view/3in00000000287?filters=staffSuppress.false&query=in00000000287 MMZ: cannot recreate the issue - follow up with JeanetteI could not get this to work. The Institute provides this microfiche as a reference to the complete work. For individual microfiches in this set see CIHM microfiche nos. 13079 and 13080 - which I copied exactly from the instance and kept getting the same error as in the previous question. MMZ: this record has MARC source and removing notes form MARC instances has not been implemented yet and was outside the scope of the UATStanford has 590 fields with $a $c and $b. All of them are mapped to the instance. What would happen if you try to remove the note, would it remove the field? I added a sample one to https://folio-perf-spitfire-diku.ci.folio.org/inventory/view/0e7d8c31-2281-47a8-9a99-2c87f0228731?filters=staffSuppress.false%2Cformat.fc3e32a0-9c85-4454-a42e-39fca788a7dc&sort=title but I could not get the remove local note option to work. But, maybe I'm just missing the information on how to do that, if it's already an option. MMZ: this option will need to investigated further. Added UXPROD-4932

Right now I just click another record type and then go back to the one I want - not sure that's intuitive though. MMZ: Bulk edit app icon also resets the app.

cataloger (music/media)Middle Tennessee State UniversityIt took longer than expected for the changes to happen (it was on the "Committing changes" page for a while). It turns out someone else was attempting to edit some of the same records, and the edits for some other records finally just timed out. I didn't expect the note to be listed separately form the other notes, but now that I think about it, it makes sense. No, but I didn't expect the "Find..." option to be labeled that. I don't know what I would call it, though!I tried this test twice, and both times, it failed to change the records, saying "No change in value required." It is possible I am doing something wrong, though.No.This is not strictly related to editing the notes, but it took a VERY long time for record sets to load and for records to update. I probably spent more time waiting for records to load than anything else. I really liked seeing existing administrative notes in the record set in the preview page and corresponding csv file. MMZ:Performance will be tested separately on production like environment.

CatalogerLibrary of Congress National Audio-Visual Conservation Center1. No difficulties in testing when records were changed in bulk via query.
2. Improvements: I found it difficult to find a query that resulted in more than 1 record retrieval. It took me multiple tries to find a results set with 4 values (Query: instance.title contains black). It would have been helpful if better guidance was provided for testing, both for query based and csv. Also, you should be able to select specific records to edit within the results set because maybe after looking at the results, you don't want to change all of them.
3. Testing should be done for a very large results set MMZ: Selecting records will be covered in UXPROD-4674 and performance testing and required adjustments are part of the standard release process. Query improvements will be address in: UXPROD-4859
No, but the process is clunky because the query for finding records is so limited. I wanted to find the records I updated with the admin note "JJA bulk edit test for UAT", but to do so I had to run the original query instance.title contains black to get the records. I should have been able to just query "JJA bulk edit test for UAT". MMZ: Query improvements will be address in: UXPROD-4859This did not work for me. I did the original search Query: instance.title contains black to get the 3 records I had added and then modified notes in (i.e., JJA bulk edit replace test for UAT). When I tried to change the note type following the instructions, I got the following error:

Failed. Preview data is correct, but the job runs and returns the error "No change in value required" for every record. Job id d2e1fb34-3549-46e8-b5a1-d19ceff37e3f MMZ: all the records listed above have source MARC and were not in scope of this UAT as this functionality is still under development. Removing notes worked fine. Query form -- field names. "Created at" and "Updated at" should be changed to Created date and Updated date to match the other field names; that way they will be searchable using "date" in the field modal as well.

catalogerMOL Companyno problemsno problemsIt doesn't seem to work. I tried Bulk edit 'change note type' for record UUID: 719f2ac8-3cb3-4ad4-982a-0ee7ede1f84e and I have got Error: SearchInstanceUUIDs2024-07-29T10_19_34+02_00.csv: 1 entries * 0 records changed * 1 errors MMZ: all the records listed above have source MARC and were not in scope of this UAT as this functionality is still under development. Cataloging/Metadata DirectorCornellI really want to be able to do a "contains" search (rather than full text) and use regular expressions in future MMZ: Added: MODBULKOPS-325Yes, the note did not change, which makes sense, as the records were all source MARC. But I should have received a warning/error message that I could not make this change. The distinction between what can be edited in the Instance and what can only be edited in the source data needs to be clearer. Also, it is very clunky to have to rebuild a query each time, I want to be able to return to the same query more easily (maybe using Lists would accomplish this?). MMZ: The distintcion between bulk edit of FOLIO and MARC instances will be discussed during BELA meeting on 8/6/2024. Rebuilding query will be covered in UXPROD-4932

CatalogerLibrary of CongressnonoYes. I got an error message for every record. It said, "No change in value required." I used the same records as previously, and confirmed that the notes were present. It seems that it couldn't identify the administrative note to change it? MMZ: At this point the functionality is supported only for FOLIO records. MARC intances were not in scope of this UAT as this functionality is still under development. no
