The teacher helper for the day will pick out 3 different ways to great their friends. *Students will discuss the letter and its sound. *Play the letter of the week song on slide 2. *The counter for the day will count the number of kids present for the day. The class will discuss if we need to change our number for the day or keep it. Students will wish students well that are not present and welcome back the students who may have been absent the day before. The counter for the day will discuss the calendar and place the correct number on the calendar. *Discribe the small group activity for the day. * Today we will be discussing all about ourselves. Ms. Lindsey will draw an example of how we are to draw a person on the dry earse board. Start by drawing a circle for a head. How many eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Discuss their relation to one another. Ask students where their arms are located. Discuss how our body can be in the shape of a rectangle. Small Group 9:00-9:30Students will participate in a guiding drawing of their self. Students will begin with a circle for their head. Discuss all the facial features such as eyes, nose, mouth, and ears. Discuss their body is located under their head. Discuss how their arms come from their body not their head. Discuss their legs and how their legs are attached at their waiste. Students arrange the letters of their name by matching each letter. Using the template students will create a pencil using the letters of their name. Students will discuss how each name has a beginning letter. Students will discuss the sound of each child's name. Students will then tear construction paper and glue it in the middle of the letter. Students will then write or trace the letter at the end of the sentence, My name starts with the letter ___
