This is a croud sourced database of assays that companies provide to test the in vitro activity of small molecules

It is currently maintained by Matthew O'Meara (mattjomeara@gmail.com) and the Shoichet Lab

Why and how to use this database?
12
Computational medicinal chemistry often makes predictions about activities of compounds at targets. Sometimes it is possible to experimentally test these predictions in house, or with experimental collaborators. But in cases were this is not feasible, there is a growing set of companies that will test compound activity as a fee-for-service.
13
Typically, you could purchase a small quantity of compound (5-10mg) from a vendor e.g. listed in zinc15.docking.org and then send it the CRO where they would run the binding and functional assay and give you the results. Some of these companies offer pre-clinical animal models or more custom study designs.
14
Different assays easier than others, and some companies are more open to customizing the assay.
15
If you have any experience with these companies that you would like to share that you think would benefit others, please do!
