OverviewThe Goochland Advance College Academy (ACA) provides high school students the opportunity to earn a transferable associate degree while completing the requirements of a high school diploma. The curriculum is carefully selected and sequenced in order to satisfy the requirements of the high school diploma and associate degree at the same time. The purpose of the BRVGS program is to serve the academic needs of a community of motivated, high-ability students through a variety of instructional strategies and learning opportunities that engage their interests and challenge their intellectual boundaries beyond a traditional high school experience. BRVGS offers courses that are exclusively available to its students. The Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School for Government and International Studies (MLWGS) is an innovative public high school offering a comprehensive college preparatory program emphasizing government, international studies, science, mathematics, languages, and fine arts.
