Things To Know When Clearing Snow!

1) Snow removal should be completed by 9 am each day - especially Sunday to Thursday.

2) Keys for the snowblower are in the church. They are hanging above a filing cabinet in the room stage-left at the top of the back stairs.

3) There is a small lighter tucked on the ledge near the back door. This is to use in case the lock on the first shed (where the snowblower is) is frozen.

4) Snow is to be cleared from:
-all walks around the building, to the building, and to the parking lot - to the full width of the walk;
-the wheelchair ramp
-the front steps
-a path across the back of the building to the parking lot to the east of the youth portable
-a path between the portables to the rear parking lot

5) Ice melter or sand/salt (whichever is available) should be put on surfaces as required for safety.

6) The snowblower needs to be cleared off as much as possible before being put away, especially inside the blades, so the rotors don't freeze!

7) The keys, locks, and lighter need to be returned so they are available for the next person on the schedule!
