Introduction
12
This spreadsheet is an attempt at creating an easy-to-use management system for an armada or group of fleets. It originated with my own fleets' spreadsheet, and underwent a variety of changes, improvements, and optimizations to arrive at this solution that can be used by others. Feel free to try it out, and adapt it to your own fleets' needs.
13
14
DO NOT SHARE YOUR COPY PUBLICLY

Your armada members do not want you to share their info with strangers. If you must share the spreadsheet with others in your armada, share it directly. The credit spammers will hate you, but your armada members will be grateful.
15
16
How to Use
17
1.The first thing you need to do if you want to use this spreadsheet is to make your own copy of it. To do this, select File -> Make a copy. Keep in mind, your copy will not be updated when I make updates to this spreadsheet, but it will list the latest version and provide a link where you can find it.
18
19
2.Export your fleet's roster from inside Star Trek Online.
20
Fleet Window -> 'Roster' tab -> 'Export' button at the bottom.
21
You can then find the exported roster inside your \live\ folder.
22
Cryptic Studios\Star Trek Online\Live\<fleet name>_<date>-<time>.Csv
23
24
3.Open the roster with Excel, or whichever program you use for .csv files.
25
26
4.Copy all the columns that contain data, or at least columns A through I (Character Name through Last Active Date). Paste this into a Fleet sheet. The default names for Fleet sheets in this spreadsheet are based on their positions in an armada, but you can change them if you desire. The rest of the spreadsheet should adapt to the changed names.
27
28
3.Fill in additional data about your fleets and their policies on each of the Fleet sheets.
29
30
Only edit the cells that are yellow with red text , like this:You can edit this.
31
If a cell is colored gray, do not edit it, like this:Do not edit this.
32
The only exception is the area designating for pasting your fleet roster.
33
34
4.Once all your fleet rosters are imported, and your other fleet information is updated, the Accounts and Armada sheets should list every account or every fleet, and some basic stats about them. Fleet sheets will also tell you which characters need promoted, or can be considered inactive.
35
36
5.If you are experienced with Google Sheets, feel free to make adjustments to the spreadsheet to fit your specific needs. For example, you could set the Fleet sheets to each import from another spreadsheet. Really, there is quite a bit you could change if you know what you're doing.
37
38
6.This spreadsheet is very complex with tens of thousands of formulas and some conditional formatting, so it can be very slow to actually do things with it. Be patient, and don't rush.
39
If you ever think you broke your copy of the spreadsheet, just get a new one!
40
41
7.Enjoy!
42
43
What This Does Not Do
44
1.This spreadsheet does not provide any actual interface with the game. You have to manually obtain your roster exports and any additional fleet maintenance.
45
2.This does not track contributions over time. That would require a series of roster exports, something far beyond the scope of this spreadsheet.
46
3.This spreadsheet only works with the data available in fleet roster exports, specifically, 'Character Name' through 'Last Active Date'. If you need additional controls for notes and stuff, you will need to make your own adjustments to the spreadsheet.
47
4.This does not guarantee absolutely 100% correct information. I make mistakes (on rare occasions), so some figures might be incorrect. I did try to catch those mistakes, but I don't know if anything slipped through. If you find a mistake, please let me know!
48
5.This should not be used as an excuse to avoid interacting with your fleet members on a frequent basis. Be a good fleet leader, and support your members. :)
49
6.This does not provide any services unrelated to fleets and armadas in Star Trek Online. Sorry, but it won't heat your coffee, make you awesome at PvP, or do other things besides help you manage your fleets or armada.
50
51
Notes
52
1.Each fleet is limited to 500 members. If your fleet exploited a game bug to have more members, the spreadsheet will adapt, but will require some minor adjustments.
53
2.Because of the fleet member limit, the 'Accounts' sheet is limited to 6,500 unique accounts. I doubt you'll have this many, but the previous note applies if you go beyond it.
54
3.This spreadsheet is very complex with tens of thousands of formulas and some conditional formatting, so it can be very slow to actually do things with it. Be patient, and don't rush.
