After 4:00pm is the best timing, but anytime is OK if 4:00pm doesn't fit to the college reps' schedule.

Lunch is not ideal, but doable after students eat (1:00-1:30). We are 70 minutes from Tokyo Main station on the bullet train, and I can usually pick up visitors at the Karuizawa station (allow at least 30 minutes from the station to being set up in the school). Feel free to come earlier and I can set you up with internet access and tea!

11:45 - 1:00 PM daily, Mondays from 2:30 to 3:30 PM; select Wednesdays from 2:30 to 3:30 PM.
We generally receive colleges in one of three times: a) students have a 15-minute break in the morning between 10:00 and 10:15, and if there is a college they want to speak with visiting - students can arrange a bit of extra time on either side. University representatives who wish to speak mostly with me and/or with only interested students prefer this time. b) From 11:45 to 1:00, students have one of two lunch periods and many reps like to set up a table in a location that all students will pass to and from lunch. This time allows for maximum exposure and many dialogues; colleges may come early or stay later if they want a more extended conversation with me and/or highly interested students. c) Finally, students have an elective period from 2:45 to 3:20 – most seniors are free Monday and every other Wednesday. Some reps come at 2:30 to set up and talk with students who can get free (and me), then give some kind of presentation at 3:30. I cannot guarantee there will be a crowd, as period 10 classes for juniors and seniors, immanent exams, sporting practices/events and extra curricular activities are also vying for afternoon time.
