Using this Guidance:
12
This guidance was written and produced to support organisations in their decision making to reopening. It considers potential barriers to visitors and customers following lockdown period as a result of COVID-19. It aims to offer solution based support for organisations of all types including their stakeholders, staff, visitors, students or customers to make appropriate decisions during the pandemic. Throughout we paid particular attention to the needs of a diverse visitor and user base as part of your reopening plans. These actions are recommended only and as such are not mandatory, but are aimed at offering useful practical and pragmatic actions to support reopening.

14
This guidance is based on our experience of accessibility for disabled people and was reflective of known evidence and research about COVID-19 at the time of writing. The recommendations below will highlight the specific accommodations that should be provided to ensure all your staff, volunteers, and visitors are kept as safe and as included as possible. We are working on the basis that everyone has a right to access life – and that access to museums, theatres and music venues makes that life so much richer.

The recommendations have been checked by Katherine Deane, Senior Lecturer and Julii Brainard Senior Research Associate from the Faculty of Health, University of East Anglia, Norwich.
