AsiaDisciple Makers, Inc.Disciple Makers trains and sends Nepali church planters and evangelists into the remote Himalayan villages of unreached people groups. Since 2001, we have trained over 270 full-time evangelists and established 8 satellite centers that train part-time lay leaders. Ryan Warmuthryan@disciplemakers.org/ 513-504-77631810 (1812, 1711, 1713)3-51 - 3 monthsInterns will undertake survey work in partnership with a guide in remote regions of Nepal. Location and cultural data about unengaged people groups are limited which makes it difficult for evangelists, who are already frequently ostracized for their faith, to be effective in their ministry. Western interns, who are embraced where Nepali Christians are rejected, will participate in anthropological surveys to identify locations of need and develop an overview of sub-cultures that new Nepali evangelists can utilize as they launch their ministry. This is much like Caleb and the spies of Numbers 13.Disciple Makers is pleased to offer a highly customizable internship. In addition to survey work among Hindu ethnic groups, there is also a need to conduct surveys among Muslim groups in Southwest Nepal as well as the deaf community throughout the country.

Length of stay: 2 weeks - 5 months
Cost: $200-$300 per week + airfare
If college credit is needed, we will work with your home institution to meet their accreditation requirements.
Nepali language study and home stays may be conducted alongside survey work.

Multiple CountriesStrategic World Partnerships/Canadian Evangelism MinistriesShort term mission trips to Ukraine, Uganda and 2017, the country of GeorgiaThea Smithmontesthea@yahoo.com/315-884-7156152510+Less than a monthEstablishing Christian camping programs, new church works, children's ministries/VBS, adult leadership training, building an orphanage, working with orphans, etc. Whatever the needs, we meet it.Your abilities are not an issue; God can make you able if you are willing. SWP takes care of all the arrangements from your 'home' to the mission field and back. However, you are responsible to raise your support (to be determined depending on the trip/s...ie: support includes trip expenses [food, housing, in-country transportation, mission incidentals] plus all travel from your home airport to all destinations. You will know the grand total once airline tickets are arranged and trip expenses calculated. No surprises. NOT covered are pre-trip expenses like passports, visas, fund raising trips, vaccinations if you choose (most places we go do not 'require' any vaccines, but it is your choice), postage, food while traveling, souvenirs, etc. There is an application form that needs to be filled out. Our preference for ages begins with MATURE and God-focused high school aged young adults through adults. Younger kids can come with parents or entire families!

The trips we go on are not for the faint of heart; it is NOT a vacation, although, we always have a great time. Our housing ranges from wilderness camping in tents with sleeping bags and outhouses, to even more 'rustic-type' facilities, to homes, hotels or nicer rooms. We rarely know til we get there.

We are a very God-focused/evangelistic mission who are also proactive toward personal safety and respect of the cultures we work in. We need people who will adhere to the 'necessary rules' to be safe and not become a drain on the people we have submitted to God to help and work with. Our trips are spiritually, physically and emotionally exhausting, but amazingly fulfilling as you see how God can and will use you to change a part of the world starving for Jesus and His help. We'd love to talk to you more about what we do and how God can use you to bless a Third World or developing nation to His glory! WARNING: You will return home changed!

(Often they may fly into Chicago and need a ride to meet with the vehicle) We will be needing for the retreat: Carpenters, builders, roofers, plumbers, electricians, etc... (we already have an architect) , an accountant, fundraisers. The main thing is that this is in the beginning stage for the retreat, and much more will be going on in the spring of next year. We still have much to clear with permits, etc. Our webpage is being revised right now to reflect our growth, and will soon tell more and have contact info also. When the time comes for on the ground work, we hope to have the ability to bring in teams, who can stay on the property, or individually stay with us in our home. Our biggest need now is fundraising and outreach for others to see the vision for this needed mission. We are based near Cynthiana, KY in Harrison County. The retreat will be very near Williamstown, KY.
