Tracking disinformation events
3
What is this document?
4
Given the volume of events being organized in the emerging field around Digital Disinformation, we are developing an events calendar to better track the timing and focus of these convenings. The intent is to establish a collaborative and easy-to-use calendar that is fully open to the public, and is as comprehensive as possible -- erring on the side of extreme inclusivity in order to capture as many events as possible with any form of public audience.
5
6
Why was it created?
7
• To ensure field-wide perspective on the breadth of events being hosted
• To avoid challenges of scheduling events on / near the same dates
• To minimize redundancy in convening topics, and thereby maximizing use of key experts’ times.
8
How do I add my own event?
9
If you are organizing an event (or were invited to an event you don’t see on the calendar) please forward an invitation to DigitalDisinformation@gmail.com. In the email body, please indicate the following (if not obvious from the invite):
• The sector of the organizer/host: government, academia, corporate, nonprofit, journalism, etc.
• The topical focus: computer science, law, behavioral science, philosophy, interdisciplinary: global, US, Europe, Russia, etc. Events will be color-coordinated to highlight different topics.
• Whether the convening is private or open to the public.
Date / time and location

The calendar will be updated weekly.
