It's always difficult to know the economic level of a country, but during war it's even worse.

Gapminder still refuse to leave any country out form our global worl dpicture, and therefor we have estimated the GDP per capita of Syria, based on a paper from IMF (2016) and informaiotn about the size of the refugee populaiotn that has left the country.
