A person's "performance" is a combination of their skills/competency level and their attitude. This performance asseessment is meant to allow each employee (with the help of their manager) to reflect on their past performance, and plan for how they will continue to improve their perfromance in the upcoming year.

4Exceeds Requirements. Always meets their normally expected tasks, and sometimes goes above and beyond. Shows a lot of initiative and has a good relationship with others.

3Meets Requirements. Does their work as expected, but rarely goes above and beyond. Consistently meets requirements and is doing a competent job.

2Improvement Needed. Falling below expectations, a rarely meets their expected goals, performance has been declining in recent weeks, and this employee seems disengaged. Meets some requirements.

1Unsatisfactory. Employee is completely disengaged and is always falling short of their requirements.
