They might know which city they’ll soon call home, but what about where they’ll live? How much will their housing cost? What about commute? Grocery stores, parks, and nightlife? Crime rate? Beyond these, many young professionals care about specific factors that defined their college experience and personality. We will be integrating real-time data collected by city governments, as opposed to relying on comment sections of blogs and websites recommended by others. For this project, we’ll focus on New York City, specifcally the borugh of Brooklyn - one of the most sought after boroughs for new grads.

Track Your Congressman
Voting records of members of Congress play an important role in determining whether an incumbent is reelected to their post or is elected to a higher office. This project aims to create tools that can help voters access, analyze, and compare the voting records of members of Congress. Some of the things users will be able to do include accessing specific voting records, finding representatives that best match their view on a particular set of bills, and analyzing the voting patterns of representatives in the context of their party or state. The project will use the ProPublica Congress API to obtain the voting records of the members of Congress. The data obtained in JSON will be used for various operations carried out using JavaScript. But going through comments is time consuming, subjective, and difficult to analyze. We want to build a review visualizer that collects review data, analyzes it, and produces a useful visualization for business strategy. We will accomplish this by collecting review data from an amazon product using an API. we will then use JavaScript and JSON to clean up the data and organize it in a usefull manner. We will then take that data and analyze it using machine elarning or word ranking. We will then take the anayzed data and plot it on a visualization that is useful within a business context. Snoop Dog's Watch Dog
Sometimes you just need to chill. But some places aren't as cool as boston in terms of weed. To help people find the perfect smoke spot clear of law abiding eyes, I will use the Waze API to match up spots away from tha Police with spots away from residential areas and populated locations near you. It will help you find the spot, and will alert you when perhaps it is time to leave that spot and take your bowl on the go;)

Smart Parking IOT solution
This project is to utliize AWS and IOT to gather sensor information from parking meters in order to provide better parking experience to customer and reduce traffic congestion. In addition, we also like to discover any potential trends or issues related to parking conditions, thus reporting and analytics functions are needed.
We’ll first analyze the requirement. Then, we’ll discuss data flow, followed by architecture consideration and tradeoff discussion. POC is developed to illustrate end to end integration using various AWS services, including AWS IOT SDK, IOT core, IOT rules, Dynamo, Lambda and API gateway.
