3. A second reaction takes place which is the complete oxidation of ethylene to carbon dioxide and water. Assume the extent of the oxidation reaction is 10% of the primary reaction, and that all of the carbon dioxide will go to the recycle stream and all of the water will go to the product stream. Introduce a named parameter f_purge representing the fraction of recycle that is purge to remove carbon dioxide from the process. Create a new spreadsheet to solve the flowsheet, and compute the product purity, the fraction yield and selectivity for ethyline oxide.
