 Out of Position

A group will be out of position if it (A) takes longer than the allotted time to play and (B) reaches a par 3 hole and the preceding group has left the next tee or fails to clear the tee of a par 4 hole before the preceding group as left the putting green, or arrives at the tee of a par 5 hole when the preceding group is on the putting green. BOTH (A) and (B) must occur for a group to be out of position. Groups deemed to be Out of Position are subject to being timed.

 TIMING:

Players will have 40 seconds to play a stroke. The timing of a stroke will begin when it is her turn to play & she can play without interference or distraction. Any time spent determining yardages will count as time taken for the next stroke. On the putting green, timing will begin after the player has been allowed reasonable time to mark, lift, clean & replace her ball, repair her ball mark & other ball marks on her line of putt, & remove loose impediments on her line of putt. Even though a group regains its position & is no longer being timed, "Bad Times" are cumlative & are carried forward for the remainder of the round.

 RULINGS:

Should a ruling or other legitimate delay cause a group to lose its position, the group is obligated to regain its position within a reasonable time.

 PACE OF PLAY PENALTIES FOR EXCEEDING 40 SECONDS:

1st Offense - Informed of "Bad Time". 2nd Offense - 1 Stroke penalty. 3rd Offense - 2 Stroke Penalty. 4th Offense - Disqualification

 EVACUATION PROCEDURES

In the event it should become necessary to stop play due to a serious situation (lightning, high winds, etc.), players will be notified by one (1) long blast of the horn and/or via the GPS on the golf carts. When the horn sounds, all play must stop immediately. Mark the ball & note its location if possible without endangering yourself or others & return quickly to the clubhouse. All practice areas are closed during suspension of play. Resumption of play will be signalled by 2 short blasts of the horn, after all players are back in position.
