This scholarship is open to any high school senior student (including homeschooled) and parents do NOT have to be Heartland Power Cooperative members. 4	Mitchell County Farm Bureau Scholarship	3/1	Open to ALL high school students. Parents must have a Mitchell County Farm Bureau membership. Must be accepted to an accredited college, university, or community college. 5	Iowa Corn Scholarship	3/5	Applicant must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in a program of study that can equip the student to contribute to the agriculture industry in Iowa. Applicant must be an Iowa Corn Growers Association member or son/daughter of an ICGA member. 7	Mitchell County Memorial Foundation Scholarship	3/15	Applicant must fulfill all criteria to be eligible for scholarship. Specific Criteria:  Be enrolled in, or accepted to a college/trade school  Have plans to graduate with a healthcare related degree in a specific area  Be a member of Osage, Riceville, or St. Ansgar School Districts  Must have a professionally formatted Resume	$500/year	Paper copy in the counseling office
8	Mitchell County EZ Riders	5/10	The Mitchell County E-Z Riders snowmobile club will be presenting a minimum of one $500 scholarship. You (or your parents/family) must be a current paid member of the Mitchell County E-Z Riders Snowmobile club for two consecutive years. Application is open to high school seniors who are attending post-secondary education in any form.	$500	Emailed to students and parents/guardians or can be picked up in the school counseling office.
9	Better Business Bureau	12/10	One application per school. One of a kind award. Awarded to those who are able to demonstrate sound character and ethical decision making.		See Mrs. Dohlman for application

12	Mitchell County CDI	2/15	Students pursuing programs of study in any field of conservation or agriculture qualiies for the Conservation Scholarship. Student must be in first year of college education.	Local Scholarship winner $500 and then application advances to Regional competition	Application in school counseling office. Have your school official attach to this application your official transcript, which must include your school attendance record, GPA and current class ranking. Attach your ACT, SAT or other standardized test scores. One letter of recommendation from your school or an employer is required. Please do not submit more than one letter. Please print and return this application with attachments to the Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) office in the county that you reside in. 13	Omnitel- You Rock Scholarship	2/15	Participants will create a short technology-inspired video from their smartphone (or parents smartphone, or tablet.) The short video (minimum 3 minutes) will be based on one of the technology topics on the scholarship website page, www.omnitel.biz/scholarship . Topics include: why is the internet important to enhancing relationships between generations, how does the internet impact different generations, how has the internet improved our society, how does the internet inspire creativity—etc. Each video submission will also require a short application and one letter of recommendation.	$500	OmniTel.biz/Scholarship

19	Mitchell County Cattleman's Scholarship	4/2	GRADUATING SENIOR, HAVING SHOWN INTEREST IN THE CATTLE INDUSTRY, PURSUING A 2‐4 YEAR DEGREE (4) PARENT/ IMMEDIATE FAMILY IS A 3‐YEAR MEMBER OF THE MITCHELL COUNTY CATTLEMAN’S ASSOCIATION.	3-$250	Request from school counselor. Will also be emailed to seniors.
20	NORTHEAST IOWA COMMUNITY ACTION CORPORATION	4/19	Applicant must be a resident of the seven county area served by Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation, specifically the counties of Allamakee, Bremer, Chickasaw, Clayton, Fayette, Howard and Winneshiek. 2. Applicant’s household income must be at or below 175% of poverty, as set by the Federal Government. (See attached guidelines) 3. Applicant must be a 2019 High School Senior or a have a high school diploma or GED equivalency. 4. If any college or vocational program has been completed prior to application, the applicant must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 2.0 (“C” average) on a 4.0 scale. 5. 21	Mitchell County Pioneer Pheasants Forever	5/15	For students planning to pursue further education in natural resources, agriculture or science. 23	Heartland Power Cooperative Lineman Scholarship	Rolling	This $500 scholarship is available to those pursuing a career as a power lineman. Students’ parents do NOT have to be cooperative members.
