1. Read printed, physical text. Use an index card, finger, pencil, yellow crayon or reading tracker to track the text as you read.1. Use storycubes to invent and tell stories, using picture symbols as meaning cues to direct your construction of the story. 1. Keep a journal. Set a goal of writing 5-10 minutes in your journal each day. If your child does not yet know how to write, encourage them to draw pictures and talk to you about their drawings.
