39 | For all his strength, Archibald is surprisingly selender, though, heavier than he looks. He has long, shaggy reddish-brown hair that falls into his face too much. He wears a black shirt and brown pants tied with a belt. A pouch hangs from his left hip. Thick shoulder pads and arm guards give him the look of someone ready for a fight, if not one looking for one straight up. | Archibald was born in small island nation, somewhere off the coast of the Beaulion Empire. Not a particularly rich people, the islanders nevertheless enjoyed their lot in life. With a somewhat more rough upbringing than those that lived on the mainland, those that lived there learned to to fight, and to fight most excellently at that. Archibald was no exception, but couldn't accept the small island way of life as something to fit him. Archie grew up angry at everyone that they live with doing what, in his eyes, amounted to nothing at all. Among the children that he grew up with, he was the kid that parents warned them to stay away from. Archie was the kid who stormed off to get lost in the jungle, to antagonize the larger, more volatile pokemon the island had to offer and the one to start a fight over nothing at all. Archie specialized in a combination of wrestling and a viciously potent style of punches that left more than a few people with broken bones as he grew up. After a point, they just turned away from him and refused to include him in anything. Which of course, his angry juvenile brain told him he was better off. After years of this, Archie was more than ready to get off the island the moment that word spread about Qedem. He left with the first ship that visited the island after the world shaking proclamation and made his way slowly to where he wanted to be.

41 | Archibald is hot-headed, blunt, and acts before he thinks about 90% of the time. That being said, he's gifted with an inherent battle sense and isn't stupid. Mostly. He's a fan of meat, and ale and bizarrely, pastries. He responds poorly to criticism, even if he accepts it as true, and similarly poorly to people calling him by his full name. His interests involve training, fighting and laying out underneath night skies and staring at the stars. | Archie wants to do something important with his life. Nothing means more to him than that. His greatest fear is being forgotten and he would do near literally anything to prevent that from happening. Other than that... Archie would like to fly some day.

43 | 1) What role are you applying for? (Guard/Support/Researcher -- can list more than one if you think you fit multiple.) "Guard, obviously! You really think that I'd be suited to doing anything else?!" Archie accentuates his points by hefting a heavy object and hurling it across the... room? 2) This job would have you traversing the wilds and taking down targets in a variety of biomes in order to further our research and settlement, spending notable periods of time in demanding and dangerous environments. What use will your skills and abilities be to a compact team of expedition members? "I'm exceptionally strong! I'm fast and I'm no slouch when it comes to fighting either! I've got training in martial arts and wrestling. I've also done some uh... studying on how to survive in the wild and stuff." He rubs the back of his head, somehow embarrassed about this admission. 3) What following aspect of the Qedem Expeditions interests you the most, and why?: - Seeking the mystery senders of the Pale Baltoy’s note - Learning about evolution and elemental “types” of pokemon - Exploring long-untouched, ancient lands of many biomes - Prospecting a new settlement and establishing trade - Fighting pokemon far stronger than anything the mainlands "Fighting pokemon! The stories I've been hearing sound impossible! Huge, scary monsters?! How could I not want to do that?! No one in my town is willing to fight me anymore." He says that part hesitantly, obviously lying, at least partially. "Well... everyone that I could actually stand a chance against. They won't let me learn anymore!" 4) After making an important discovery, your team falls into a bog en route back to camp. Your team’s researcher and one guard are injured. Your third party member is in a safe location, but unconscious. The researcher, who has learned and recorded data vitally important to the main missions of the Guild, has a 30% chance of being able to pull himself out on his own before the ground swallows him up. The guard is certain to meet her death should you not help her. You only have the means to help one. Who do you help (and if you're feeling bold, why)? "I'd... I would..." Archie's face falls as he considers the situation. "I... how can you ask someone to make that decision?! It's not right!" He grumbles and looks everywhere but into his... interviewer's? face. "I guess... I'd help the girl. Cause the researcher's got a chance to escape on his own, right?" 5) Why do you want to become an expedition member? "I'm looking for a real adventure. Something I can't find anywhere else! There's nothing like this anywhere, we're going to solve something amazing and it'll be the greatest thing anyone has ever done in the history of forever. Who wouldn't want to be in on that?!" Archie crosses his arms over his chest. "I know I'll certainly be irritated if I don't get to go..." |
