Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours. Although a cold stratification is not required, a 60 day stratification can increase germination.

Clean pulp from seeds with warm water and pat them dry. Scarify the seeds by nicking the seed coat with nail clippers or a knife. Be careful not to nick the embryo. Store the seeds in your refrigerator for 3 to 4 months. Place the seeds in sterile seed starting mixture. Grape seeds need warmth in order to germinate so place the seed starting flat on a warming mat. Leave the flat in place until the seeds germinate. When the seedlings have developed two sets of leaves, re-pot the seedlings into individual containers. Plant them outside in spring after all danger of frost has passed.
