Vision: All Ogden High students will receive a high quality education that fosters diversity and prepares for future endevors by being committed to a tradition of excellence in our ever changing world.

Mission: Ogden High School will provide a safe, supportive learning environment where students regardless of their background will graduate. Through earning their diploma, students will have opportunities to fulfill their potential and to develop the skills and knowledge to become responsible and successful adults after high school.

*It is the policy of the board of education of Ogden City School District, in partnership with parents and families and in accordance with state and federal guidelines to establish a parent and family involvement procedural framework.
*It is the policy of the Board of Education of Ogden City School District that the district and schools coordinate with families to improve student academic rediness to learn and academic outcomes.
*It is the policy of the Board of education of Ogden City School District that the district and schools will inform all stakeholders of the parent and family involvement policy and procedures, and annually update its effectiveness.

*School community shift toward a more positive testing cutlure and knowledge of school goals by communicating where we are going and why measuring through exams is important. Focus on testing relevancy with ASPIRE and ACT. Starting by bringing teachers on board-the why, importance of positive messaging, connection to two goals, opportunties for students-establish the expectations in communication and preparation. Foster community communication at Back to School Night and Parent Teacher conferences, with continual communication through college and career center outreach. Establish positive student udnerstanding through communication in advisory and all teachers as well as individual goal setting, college and career connections, and targeted practice to familiarize them with formats.

Focus on graduation and attendance goals. Starting by bringing teachers on board-the why, importance of positive messaging and the OHS graduate profile, connection to two goals, opportunties for students-establish the expectations in communication and preparation. Foster community communication at Back to School Night and Parent Teacher conferences, with continual communication through college and career center outreach, including restructuring back to school night to a more welcoming, diverse format. Establish positive student understanding through communication in advisory and all teachers as well as individual goal setting, college and career connections, and targeted practice to familiarize them with formats.

*Increasing community nights by 5%, stronger family-school connection (all populations), increase in community understanding of school goals and attendance/graduation connection. Resulting in an increase of graduation rate by 2%

100% of teachers will implement weekly student reading tasks in their content with a specific research-based ELL strategy that supports students' ability to understand and integrate the knowledge from the chosen text. 90% of ELL students will show a years growth on WIDA composite scores

Graduation improvement by 2% by increasing the focus on student, parent, teacher & counselor awareness of student graduation needs and developing a growth mindset culture through relationship building, goal setting and positive feedback. By targeting these as a priority we expect an increase of understanding in graduation requirements for all grade levels, better relationships between teacher and student, and goal setting toward the requirements based on targeted student needs and an increase in graduation rate of 2%.
