10/15/2018RuizOn Tuesday, Oct 30th, we will have an American Red Cross Blood Drive! Particpants must be 16 years of age or older. Keep in mind that 1 donor can save up to THREE LIVES. If you are interested in being a donor, you need to eat properly, drink lots of water and turn in your signed consent form prior to the blood drive. Turn your signed consent form into the ASB room (501) by Thursday, October 18th. Consent forms are available on the ASB room door. 10/18/2018

5/31/2018SolbergPROCESS FOR THE FINAL TRANSCRIPT REQUEST FOR SENIORS:

1. Request transcript in Naviance—especially UC and Cal State. If it’s already in Naviance, please do not double enter.

2. See the Registrar. She has the request book.

3. Bring one dollar for the transcript fee.

4. It’s recommended to place your email on the request sheet for a transcript for yourself. If you join a club, a sorority or a fraternity, some are GPA driven and you’ll need one in the summer.


The Registrar will be here on Monday, June 4 until 1:00 pm for transcript requests. Tuesday through Friday, the Registrar will be here from 7:00 to 3:00 for requests. You may request through the last day of school.

5/2/2018KishMrs Estrada will be taking 50 Seniors to Miramar Community College for a tour on 5-17-18. Permission slips can be picked up in her office. They are due back 5-14-18. Students who completed their "online Community College Priority Registration" will have priority for getting on the bus.

4/24/2018KishUC San Diego will be holding the 3rd annual Splash event on the medical school campus on Saturday May 12.
During the day, a variety of classes and workshops designed for high school students are taught by UC San Diego faculty and grads/undergrads. There are dozens of different course offerings, spanning engineering (e.g., audio signal processing, materials science, robot localization and many others), math and computer science (e.g., game theory, pattern popularity, etc.), biology and medicine (e.g., appendicitis, cancer, DNA repair) and arts and humanities and social sciences (e.g., history of pandemics, modular origami, etc.) along with some practical classes particularly relevant to high school students (such as paying for college, applying to college).
Lunch and a t-shirt are provided; registration fee is $20, and there is a financial aid application available on the website, to get the fee waived when appropriate.

Students should try to register for classes soon as classes are filled on a first come first served basis.

4/10/2018FowlerCongratulations to our 15 member state Science Olympiad team for their outstanding accomplishments. Earning high awards were: Pia Kapoor and Joydeep Dutta winning 6th place in Disease Detectives, Emily Ekaireb and Evan Dicker winning 6th place in Write It/Do It, Michelle He and Joydeep Dutta winning 3rd place in Microbe Mission, and Michelle He and Alan Hang winning 1st place and a gift card award of $50 in Rocks and Minerals.

4/9/2018KishThere will be a SDSU "admitted students" presentation on Thursday April 12th at 9:15 in the Library. Students should check the list located in the REGISTRAR's office and sign up next to their printed name by Tuesday afternoon. There will be a counselor here from SDSU doing a 45 minute presentation about what to do next now that you have been admitted.
