Kevin Wood$75Karin Svigal offered some professional development around brain breaks. I have purchased some of the things our class is using, but I still need to add some variety to our brain breaks. I would love to buy some UNO cards and more supplies for brain breaks in class. The PTO already reimbursed me for a few supplies, and I am so thankful! Extra supplies could be shared in our pod as well.I use brain breaks as a form of reward for positive behavior and engagement. It is great for kids to see an immediate reward for their hard work, take a moment to disengage from difficult learning, and then get back to work within a few minutes. More supplies would offer more opportunities for other teachers to share the equipment, and other students to benefit from these brain breaks.

Elizabeth Hines$200Coffee Cart MaterialsStudents in the center-based classroom currently run a coffee cart at Newton. Once per week, we take coffee/tea orders from staff and deliver drinks to their classrooms. Students work with the Occupational Therapist and Speech Language Pathologist to improve independent living, communication, and pre-vocational skills during this group. We would like to purchase reusable mugs and labels to improve the sustainability of this program, both environmentally and financially. This is a program that our students and staff really enjoy. The purchase of these materials would help ensure that the program can continue to run in the future. Any amount would help. Thank you!

Joanie May$180.00calculators... sold in sets of 10 $58 a set8th grade science is very math based. My calculators had a great run, but I am down to just a handful of working calculators. A few kids have calculators, but many do not. This would make for much more efficient learning.

Carly Newman$700Choral Tracks subscription (prices are based on the lowest to highest subscription)
https://choraltracks.com/pages/choral-tracks-plus		This funding will be used for a subscription to Choral Tracks which will be extremely beneficial to all of the choirs at Newton. Students can use the tracks to rehearse at home or when there is a substitute present. It allows students to take more ownership of their learning and also comes with accompaniment track for each song so we could travel as well without our pianist. A partial grant would be helpful. Chelsea Carstensen$1,000I am currently enrolled in 300-hour Breathe for Change (an Social-Emotional Leering and pedagogical class for classroom teachers and yoga instructors). The foundational pillars of the year-long course are Trauma-informed, Equitable, Accessible, Community-oriented, and Healing-centered practices for teaching in and out of the classroom. The course was designed by classroom teachers for classroom teachers.Any amount of would be helpful, as I have already paid on tuition on a monthly basis. There are no other costs for materials or to bring my leaning to the classroom. Thank you for your consideration.

Kandy Timinski$159Nearpod subscriptionI discovered Nearpod in the spring of 2020. It is an interactive software that I can use for small group work, independent work, as well as whole class assignments. Below is a link for a lesson I was able to craft both from my own work as well as items within the Nearpod library. I used the lesson with a sub (which meant anyone, even someone without an LA background could run the lesson).

Lisa Jenkins$290Purchase of 2 Raspberry Pi Starter KitsI would like to purchase 2 Raspberry Pi Starter Kits for my Computers classes. This tool would be for students to explore and learn more about coding applications. Purchasing 2 kits would allow for advanced learners to either pair with another advanced student to extend his/her learning or have an advanced learner also teach/mentor another student on the application.
