Initial Education Level Placement on the salary schedule: Credits and degrees must be documented on an official transcript. Credits above your highest degree must be documented on an official transcript and have been completed after the conferred date of your highest degree.
Placement for new hires are steps 0-10 only. Steps equal one full year of service equivalent to 10 or more months of full-time employment in a comparable role. 2 years of paraprofessional experience or teaching without license is equivalent to one year.

Staff members who leave the district with more than 10 years of service will be allowed to retain their ASD years of service with regard to their incoming salary placement as long as they return within ten years of their date of departure and have not yet retired under PERA.
