ASSIGNMENT: SEARCH THE OFA DATABASE FOR YOUR PET (or a breed of your choice if you don't have one) AND LIST ALL OF THE INHERITABLE DISEASES FOR THAT BREED. Indicate which diseases require mandatory vs. optional screening FOR OFA CERTIFICATION.

LIST AS WELL AS THE NECESSARY SCREENING TESTS FOR EACH DISEASE, THE COST OF THE TESTS, THE COST OF LIFELONG MANAGEMENT OF THE CONDITION (IF AN UNSUSPECTING OWNER GETS STUCK WITH A DISEASED PUPPY), THE LIFE EXPECTANCY AFTER BEING DIAGNOSED WITH EACH DISEASE (in months/yrs as well as quality of life) AND FIND OUT WHETHER YOUR BREEDER PERFORMED THESE SCREENING TESTS.

Does the breeder require owners to report these diseases to keep track? Have these diseases occurred in any of the breeders' lineages? Have you or the other littermates' owners noticed any symptoms of any of these diseases?

FOR EACH ADDITIONAL BREED (however, if you purchased a dog like a Malti-Poo, that is a mix of two purebreds, you must complete for both Maltese and Poodle, and if you have two different purebreds you must complete for each one).
